You went to the dealership for service?
Yeah my wife lost all of the keys to her car and I had to get it towed there. $600 of that was keys. The rest was just something I got done while it was there

I’ve still yet to hear a good justification why we should be exchanging paper and coins outside of wanting to do illegal transactions.
These bastards just finished trying to take everyones livelihood & refused to let folks participate in society if you didn't mask up, show your vax papers & you think it's ok to give them full control of your money

In my 40s; never carried cash

The downvotes are kinda funny to me. I get the argument BUT even if true 99.99% or more of my net worth is tied up in assets that could not be easily turned into cash if the powers that be want me not to. If you live paycheck to paycheck with no savings/investments etc and that cash left over from your last paycheck is basically everything then concern for a non-cash system is much more relevant.
I have had the same $800 in my wallet for over 3 years, I broke the first $20 about a month ago when I paid a toll.

How can you not understand that when they get rid of cash the government completely owns you with their control of banks & will control your entire life? You want to buy a gun? Purchase denied. You want to buy gas? Nope. You have already driven too many miles this month. Get educated on what can happen. Please.

Yep. Cashless following a hurricane without power would be rough.
I wonder if there was some way they could take cash for like a week still.

quote:That depends on your definition of "soon." It is coming, at least that's what's being angling towards. We'll know more when/if they are able to implement this "Great Reset" we keep hearing about.
There is no social credit score coming anytime soon.
But I agree, it won't be "soon." Because TPTB do things incrementally as not to upset the sheople.

A global credit score that will let you know if you’re eligible to buy red meat? It’s an absurd proposition to anyone who thinks just in level deeper.

how do you not understand that banks make an assload of money off ATM transactions and we live in the most capitalist society to ever exist.
you really think they are just gonna shut down all the ATM machines even if a bunch of companies stop taking cash?

I understand the concerns about a cashless society
But the local tapas place is not doing it to promote the Great Reset, they're doing it because of armed robbery and insurance concerns

Meanwhile, I spent $1100 in cash at 4 different businesses yesterday, after fronting my card for a crew we fished with offshore last week that all paid me the $$. Would have been happy to walk out of any of them if they didn't accept cash and gone straight to a competitor.

People seem to forget that Visa and MasterCard tried to track gun store purchases recently. They've put it on hold for now. How hard would that be to start blocking?
Screw not having a widely accepted medium of exchange that can't be easily traced.

Just imagine what they’re doing with that data and who they could be selling it to.
