Was Dirt the Best Rock Album of the 90’s?

It is my opinion that the album “Dirt”, by Alice in Chains, is the best rock album of the 90’s. Top to bottom, it is a classic album that I feel deserves this honor. It’s one of those albums you could leave in your car’s CD player for months, it was that good, all the songs are incredible.
Do you guys share my belief on this? If you don’t agree that this was the best rock album, which album is your pick?

I stand by my assertion in 1995 that this is the best album of the 90s...

I want you to scrape me
From the walls
And go crazy
Like you made me.

There were a bunch of good albums, as Clint has indicated in his post. But I do think Dirt is probably my favorite if I had to pick one.
Though music is often mood driven for me so picking a favorite is never really easy for me, particularly this far down the road from when I first heard it.

My pick would probably be Loveless or Perfect From Now.
But there are so many great 90s rock albums
Nevermind
Pinkerton
Lonesome Crowded West
OK Computer
Downward is Heavenward
Emergency and I
Spiderland
And that is just barely scratching the surface.

Goo
Dirty
Circa Now
Scream, Dracula, Scream
Repeater
Steady Diet of Nothing
No Picky for Kitty
On the Mouth
Green Mind
Gish
Definitely, Maybe
Thats just some of the well known ones.... so, so many... granted I never cared for AiC at all...
I would probably go with Nevermind as the best well known/mainstream

It's impossible to pick just one. I probably spent the most time listening to Grassroots, Odelay, Tiny Music, Blue Album off the top of my head.

This is a bit like arguing over who is the best alpine skier from Pakistan but I will play anyway.
