Does any one know where the love of God goes when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Yet that piece of human excrement Jason Isbell is still alive. No justice in the universe.

Maybe it was the drugs or the lead paint in their homes, but the early 1970s produced really great singer songwriters like Lightfoot, Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, John Denver, etc. I really don't see that level today of thoughtful songwriting. All of them are gone except for Stevens and I guess to a lesser extent David Gates.

No better artist to start a weekend morning breakfast cooking coffee drinking play list.

Speaking of, does anyone else think he says every highway every once in a while instead of carefree?

Now he's traded off his Martin
But his troubles are not over
For his feet are almost frozen
And the sun is sinkin' low

Won't you listen to me brother
If you ever loved your mother
Please pull off on the shoulder
If you're goin' Milwaukee way
It's ten degrees and getting colder
Down by Boulder dam today
