The pecker envy is pretty stout here in Ruston as well with the LaTech folk

I live in Lafayette. The hardcore USL Bulldog fans define a USL Bulldog fan as someone who HAS to hate their daddy ... LSU. Don't argue with them, what's the point of that? Mike hit on all the right points. Delusions of grandeur.

Just ask them who ever flunked out of USL and had to transfer to LSU so they could finish.

Tell em you'll wait.

Ok no mean to ruin the fun here, but Scarborough himself didn’t finish at UL. He’s the exact same way he accuses our fans of acting.

frick ULL fans. I use to pull for them years ago until I started working in Lafayette. Their fans are miserable fricks who hate LSU.

Bruh

Maybe this is why some of our fans don’t like you. Come on now.

It’s easily the only thing that makes living in Lafayette not enjoyable. It’s such a great town otherwise.

The world would be so much better if these clowns just fell in line like McNeese Nichols Southeastern ULM And Northwestern. Support the local school but ultimately this is LSU territory. You don’t choose sides dipshits. You simply support both. Seriously I’ve been in Lafayette for a big time LSU game and go to a bar to watch thinking it will be buzzing and it’s the opposite.

Having allegiance to our alma mater is not choosing sides. You act like we are supposed to “bend the knee” to LSU. That’s not how this works.

Weird. You people are the only ones that this is an issue with. Grads of the other instate schools I listed do not have this mentality. Why is this concept so difficult for you people to grasp?

Supporting the P5 team that represents your home state does not mean you are turning your back on your Alma mater. It’s not either or. This isn’t Bama Auburn. This is ULL LSU. SEC/Sun Belt. G5/P5

That’s what so many ULL fans don’t realize.

This in state hatred IS NOT HOW THIS WORKS.

ULL will NEVER be LSU’s equal in athletics. And that’s ok.

It’s even ok to be happy when ULL beats LSU.

But living in Lafayette so many ULL fans actively cheer for LSU to lose every weekend because they somehow believe it makes ULL better when LSU loses.

Root for both and then pick a side when they play each other, the jealousy of hoping to somehow “hurt” LSU is just childish.

For the record….wife (no pics) has a degree from USL and one from UL and mine is from SLU, child attends LSU.

Like Mike said they should start with not taking a $12 million check from the state for athletics.

Grads of other schools also put LSU first. Let’s be honest about that. A lot of our alumni don’t. A lot of your fans mistaken loyalty to our school as disloyalty to LSU. And then get “lectured” that we somehow “owe” our support to them. To be honest, most of our fans either 1) don’t care or 2) pull for LSU on the side.

You think I don’t know that? LSU has like 5-6x our athletic budget and is in the SEC.

The honest reason why some of our fans root against LSU isn’t because of they think we will be better. It’s the arrogant “know your place,” “you’re a junior college,” “ULLLLL” nonsense some of us have to hear regularly from a few of the diehards who recently hopped on the LSU bandwagon. Personally, I don’t care. I have friends that played for LSU and family that attended the school. But in all honesty, when we have to hear that, why would some of our fans reciprocate with support?

He forgets that before TAF was created that the taxpayers funded the LSU athletic department for a good 60 years. That funding allowed for TAF to be created.

Why is it a crime to put LSU first? They represent the state of Louisiana nationally and to an extent globally. People see that tiger eye and they know it’s Louisiana.

It’s a state pride thing. People spend their whole childhood in purple and gold, then when they attend ULL they’re supposed to act like they didn’t love LSU their whole life? It’s sad. The brainwashing going on.

There is no recently hopped on the bandwagon. People are LSU fans from birth. They don’t even know what ULL is until they’re a junior in HS and college options are being discussed.

LSU = Louisiana. What’s so difficult here?
