Take away her phone.

Don't worry about it unless her pediatrician tells you that she is underweight/undernourished. She will eat when she is hungry. A multivitamin might help reassure you.

They’ll eat when hungry

What do you do when she says she’s done? Does she sit at the table until meal time is over? No screens, no TV?

Give her some cookies or chips to eat. Kids love that stuff and then maybe ice cream as well. Got to make sure she eats or else she may be growth delayed. Good luck

Get that angry MF from the plane to yell at his arse.

Don’t give in. They eat what you provide or they don’t eat at all. Children have been exploiting parents since the mid 1970’s. Don’t become a statistic. They eat chicken and broccoli or face starvation.

Mine is about to turn 9 and she still takes 2 bites and says I’m done

Don't feed it for 36 hours and then try again.

Don't take advice from the OT on this, talk to her Dr about it. As long as growing/gaining weight within the "chart," she will probably be fine.
I have a 21 year old who still won't eat, he is underweight, turns out he likely has some stomach issues (celiac, etc). He ate well until 2/3/4ish years old, then stopped. We went by the "he'll eat then he's hungry," mindset, even forced him to eat. None of it worked.

How long has she seen doing this? She may just have a sore throat.

Agree with the others to wean her off bottles. I’m surprised her doctor hasn’t suggested it. She’s drinking a lot of her calories, and it’s not good for her teeth.
That said, as long as her growth percentiles are trending in a normal pattern and aren’t dropping, trust that she’s getting enough food.

I’m sure it’s a pretty normal occurrence but it’s a fight trying to get our 2 year old girl to eat. She’s not a picky eater, she just doesn’t ever want to eat. I know you can’t really force a 2 year old to eat, but she’ll eat like one or two bites of food and be done.
I’m kind of the same way, I’ve never had a big appetite; so I guess she gets that from me.
We try to be good about limiting distractions when it’s meal time but that’s not working. I know you can’t force em to eat, but I mean dang, she needs to eat!
my advice.....sit down as family, no tv, no phones, no electronics of any kind. no distractions of any kind.
dont make her eat, but dont allow her to get up until family dinner is over. if she still doesnt want to eat....fine.
but i have found with my kids, especially the 2 with add, that if they think they get to go right back to playing and back to the action, they will cut dinner short. any sort of distraction....same thing.

Stop making snacks and juice available all day.

I've come to realize that my 2yo is an absolute machine. Their bodies are so damn strong and efficient, he could eat nothing but chocolate milk and Cheetos for a month and never miss a beat, grow like a weed, and have more energy than a puppy jack russell terrier... scrap up his elbows??... BAM healed up completely the next day

If you want to know if it gets better, I just told my 8yo to make something her goddamned self, because she didn't want steak and potatoes.
