What’s Trump’s stance on abortion?

Sigh. This restriction of abortion is the Republican Achilles' Heel.

Here's an original though:

The Supreme Court's ruling didn't abolish abortion. It just allowed States to mandate the legality of it. If the good people of Florida don't like his policies and positions, they can easily vote him out of office. If he runs for POTUS, the GOOD people of the USA have the same option.

If you honestly think more than half of this country is in favor of abortion, you are sadly mistaken. The argument with a Pro-abortion scumbag always goes to cases of incest, rape, and health of the mother. You'd think, by their profound emotional connection to the argument, they'd stop and try to comprehend that almost all abortions sought, are NEVER from those circumstances. Then again, we are talking about liberals....

Desantis is not going to make it to the General. He likely will not even enter the race.

It depends on which Trump you ask. In 2016, putting anti-abortion Justices onto the Supreme Court was a central part of his platform. In 2022, he blamed those same Justices that he appointed to the Supreme Court for ruining the GOP's chances in the mid-terms.

It is not the strictest abortion ban. Several states have a complete ban with no exceptions

I'm pro-life. I'll vote or not based on that holding the majority of the weight.

Well, this is a good way for Ron to have a legit reason (un-electability) not to win the Nomination or piss of the Conservative Base. Trump can finesse this (wink and nod) to the Base but Ron can't, as it's his 'baby'.

Anti-abortionists who complain about AA violence are interesting to me.

Trump could quite plausibly say he is going to leave up to the states and let our “beautiful federal system” do its job. Trump has an advantage here over any sitting governor who will is likely to be under pressure to sign or veto specific abortion legislation.

Unreal. This, along with his earlier signing of Florida's infamous "Don't Say Gay!" bill, renders this man unelectable nationally. And I think it won't be long before Floridians tire of him.

You are 100% correct most Republican politicians are stupid. He is virtue signaling to a base that was already going to support him. The perpetually offended Karen’s in the suburbs will walk through fire to keep their right to kill a baby
