The FBI accidentally arrested a hotel guest during a training mission in Boston on Tuesday after entering the wrong hotel room. Around 10 p.m. on Tuesday night, FBI agents knocked loudly on the door of a room at the Revere Hotel in downtown Boston where a Delta Air Lines pilot was staying, CBS News Boston reported.

The guest, a man in his 30s, opened the door and was handcuffed and interrogated in a bathroom shower, according to the outlet. He was detained for nearly an hour before the FBI realized the mistake. Agents were expecting to find a role player who was part of the mock training program for a Defense Department training simulation, per CBS.

The FBI said no one was injured during the mishap, which they said occurred because of “inaccurate information..
Agents “were mistakenly sent to the wrong room and detained an individual, not the intended role player,” a statement said, according to the Associated Press.

Did they use enhanced interrogation?

Silver lining, pilot didn't get enough rest, now he has a valid reason to skip work.

But there were agents from all walks of life. Thats the important thing

Bathroom clean up after waterboarding is much easier.

lol this sounds like something from a sitcom
"Who are you? Wtf is this? I'm a pilot! You've got the wrong room!"
"Yeah right that's exactly what we thought you'd say!"

Definitely what this sounds like. If I'm the pilot, I'd be suing.

As long as they used the pilot's appropriate pronouns we're all good.

5 years ago, I would have been like oh well. shite happens
Now, knowing what I know about the fbi, I wouldn't stop until crissy Wray himself got on his knees and apologized to me

Well, either FBI agents or the desk clerk are dumb. Hmmm, that is a tough call. I'm not gonna take a position.

everone involved needs to be prosecuted for kidnapping and wrongful imprisonment
it takes less than 15 minutes to verify someones identity and if the agents are in the correct location

Was the pilot a diversity hire?
Posted on 4/6/23 at 12:08 pm to DingLeeBerry
Every agent involved needs to serve prison time. If I accidentally held the wrong person hostage without my knowing I'll still be charged with a crime.

So what was the role player doing all that time?
Posted on 4/6/23 at 12:12 pm to DingLeeBerry
As stated on the OT thread-
There's no way this was a training exercise. This was a botched operation they are blaming on a training exercise.
