How many teen employees do they have?

MNPD gets some warranted and some unwarranted shite flung their way, but they get the job done when it's needed. They ran in to harms way today just like they ran in to harms way on the Christmas Day bombing.

Shooter down 13-14 minutes after the 911 call to a large city PD without an officer on site seems pretty good. An eternity for parents/kids, no doubt, but miles better than we've seen elsewhere.

However, if these school shootings continue over the next one hundred years at the same rate we've seen in recent years I don't know how we can keep ignoring it.

Wikipedia lists 80 school shooting incidents in the 2000s. The website lists 251 incidents in the 2010s.

People who keep ignoring and trying to say that school shootings aren't any kind of significant issue/are rare have their head in the sand.

I've leaned since the news came out that it's someone with a direct connection to the school/church, either a parent or a current or former employee. We'll find out in due time who it was.

Maybe ex student, or mother of an ex student?

Illegally. Just like how they illegally take the lives of other people, or illegally rob them. Yet that is never a problem that anyone wants to tackle

Exactly…it is so silly to argue for gun laws as a deterrent when murdering multiple people and the accompanying laws with it doesn’t stop the perp either.

“Gee I’m about to go murder as many people as I can and not worry about the consequences for that except for those damned gun laws which are going to scare me straight first!”…said no criminal ever

It's such an incredibly rare random act of violence that it's not going to move the needle for a school's budget discussions.

Some families are going to wonder forever what plausible reasons there are in regards to budgetary considerations, when it comes to security and their dead family members.

Now info coming out say the shooter was 28 years old.

28 years and reportedly "looked like a teenager."

Wow. Probably best to wait for more info on this one. Not that the actions of a rogue mentally ill killer EVER make any damn sense- but there's certainly a lot going on here....

A gun discharged at a school or on a school bus? lol, why would it be any different in the 2000s and now?

Our school had a security fee this year of
Like $250 a quarter. I was happy to pay that for new fences and to pay an officer

Good thing it wasn't BRPD or it may have been 8-9 hours before they found anything.
