why do we as fans even talk about this or care? don't let the media fool you into caring about ratings. these are new fun teams (and uconn)! watch! or don't!

I guess I don’t disagree in theory. But I don’t think it’ll be as entertaining or high-quality basketball as most typical Final Fours. Bluebloods/highly-seeded teams typically make for great games. Even FAU’s “Cinderella” run isn’t them playing 1-seed Alabama or 2-seed Arizona, it’s 5-seed SDSU (who I do think is a pretty good team, but doesn’t have the name cache).

My guess is it will get very good ratings with legalized sports betting coming to more and more states.

Last years final four was Duke, UNC, Nova and Kansas. Anomalies are going to happen every once in a while (similar to 2011)

Anyone complaining is doing so because they don’t think G5 type programs belong competing with the “big boys”.
I don’t watch basketball of any level. I’ve watched maybe two whole halves so far this year. I’ll watch this next round because programs like FAU and SDSU are still in the mix.

Yep. It would be great if conference tourneys were eliminated and then each round could be best of 3.
