I believe it would be the first K State natty in any sport. Guess I’ll root for them now.

Only two schools remain without a natty in any sport. VT and K state.

I’ll take k state

It’s absolutely great.

It’s also the reason why I think the NCAA needs to give two auto bids per conference.

Stunning that the other side of the bracket has a murderers row of Zags, UCONN, Texas and Miami, while the other side is filled with FAU and Princeton.

What an absolute shite show the committee did at seeding teams this year.

An easy look at how many upsets in the Top 25 there were all season long probably was a good indicator that the NCAAT would also have some legit chaos.

Their 1998 football team was 1995 Nebraska/2001 Miami/2019 LSU good. Their loss in the Big 12 CCG is easily the worst CCG loss in CFB history and one of the 2 worst period, the other being the 2007 Backyard Brawl.

Back when they interviewed the losing coach right after the game on the field

They got right up on Snyder’s face

They interviewed him before interviewing anyone on A&M. They knew it was a bigger loss for Kansas State than it was a big win for A&M. One of the few true program-defining losses for any program.

IMO Kansas State would've clobbered Tennessee in the Fiesta Bowl and added 1 or 2 more titles in the early 2000s had Bishop been able to get down before he fumbled.

What's wild to me is that I was going through the rosters expecting these mid-major surprise teams to be loaded with veterans. Nope, it looks like Creighton and FAU are two of the youngest squads in the Elite 8. Texas and San Diego State look to be the oldest.
