Remember when you sat in a chair during an intense job interview? Very uncomfortable.

Think about those times you finally got to the point a potential employer wanted to sit down with you and see if you were truly a fit for their needs.

I remember setting with RF engineers taking a verbal examination while looking at an Operational Amplifier circuit on a dry erase board. Taking questions about changing the values of the feedback resistor, certain capacitors and being asked what happens to the gain and frequency response of the output. It was a interview exercise that gave those RF engineers confidence the potential engineering tech could work in their group.

Stay with me, the previous account is an illustration of what separates competence from incompetence.

Tucker Carlson just played a clip from a confirmation hearing for the main honcho of the FAA. This person being interviewed (Phil Washington) by our politicians is a minority and he was asked specific questions regarding safety guidelines and operational protocols of commercial air traffic in the United States and he could not answer one of those questions. He was able to answer a question about ensuring there would be equity in the FAA but he was clueless about safety and operational guidelines.

This ^^^ is how a once great nation crumbles, by not using merit to bring forth the most qualified and competent candidates to perform critical jobs/assignments…..instead it’s diversity, inclusion and equity that is the most important criteria for filling these positions.

Unfortunately, the same thing is happening with our politicians. It’s our duty as the electorate to vet our politicians before placing them in high office. As evidenced by Pennsylvania, we’re not doing a very good job. PA voted a dead man into congress and a stroke rehabilitation patient into the Senate. If the aforementioned isn’t bad enough the electorate placed a corrupt and cognitively impaired geriatric in the White House.

You see, the reason this nation is teetering on the precipice of collapse isn’t the corrupt politicians and bureaucrats running our nation, it’s the electorate that refuses to do their job vetting the candidates for these positions of high office…..or maybe the corrupt politicians and bureaucrats are a reflection of the electorate.
