OT kids are average, on average.

My 25 year old son has been an inspiration and blessing to me. He was always far more mature from the jump than me.

Seriously. They’re awesome. 30, 25, 22. First two gainfully employed, third graduates in May and is interviewing for jobs
Never gave us any trouble
Were always respectful
Just good kids that are cool to hang out with as adults now.

My kids are 25 and 22. We've had some extremely rough times (about three years solid) with my son but it's starting to work itself out. Caused much strife in our lives. It's a wild ride with kids.

All 4 college grads with good jobs and no drugs. All very kind and polite with delightful SOs that add to our family in a great way.

My daughter got a full ride to college and is currently making about $75 per year at 26. My two 18 year old sons will graduate hs with high honors, full rides, honors college. Every school in the SEC offered them. They all attend church regularly, work hard, & don’t listen to today’s crappy music. I’m blessed.

Best gauge to see how well you raised your children is to see how they raise their own kids. If they raise them fairly similar to how you did, then obviously you did something right and instilled the right priorities.

My parents are no longer with us so I will answer for them.
Terrific.

my parents are west Texas rednecks who raised my sister and i with the same firm hand.
i'm a 39 yo libertarian Christian that moved out at 19 and never went back home. graduated college with no help and no student loan debt. 2 kids, steady income.
my sister is 43, lived at home till she was 27, is a communist lesbian who is still in student debt and is 100 lbs over weight and has type 2 diabetes. she is still dependent on my parents.
same upbringing and training.
Peers exert WAY more influence on a developing child.
To the extent that parents want to exert the most influence, they should attempt to curate the peer groups of their children. (Even this is hard as frick to effectively do).

2 boys 2 girls. Doctor, construction management, dental hygienist and nurse. Time will tell how they turn out!

They turned out kind, empathetic, hard working adults. Now there were definitely bumps along the way. Even a few hills. We didn't think we would survive the teenage years. Advice. Monitor their phone, location and limit device usage with no exceptions. Good luck

All you can do is provide an example to follow, support when needed, discipline when required and hope for the best. People often take credit for their children’s successes but few will claim their failures as their own. They are people, not products. Their successes are theirs as are their failures.

My kids are going to turn out fine. The world they are going to be in as adults.....fricked.
It’s depressing to think about the world our kids are inheriting.
