Your best/worst cop stories

Some of you may remember my post earlier this year about getting pulled over and cited for an expired inspection sticker. I ended up getting it fixed through connections and now every time I see that cop that wrote me the ticket, he's sort of mean mugging me. I'm thinking I may trade my vehicle in so I don't get pulled over for some bullshite.

This is literally the whitest bad cop story ever

So let me get this straight, you used your connections to fix a non-moving violation ticket that probably cost a couple hundred bucks that wouldn't go towards your insurance, think a cop is mad that you got said ticket fix, even though he probably doesn't even know! And now you are worried about this enough to get another car over a non-moving violation ticket? I wish my life was this simple that I can worry about stupid shite like this.

You definitely succeeded in having the worst cop story.

I got pulled over by a cop and chewed him out for it
I was on a 2 lane street at a stoplight needing to turn left (no turn lane). So naturally you yield to drivers. Well the opposite end of the light was a cop who was playing on his phone and the light was green for 10-15 seconds. Since he wasn't paying attention I went ahead and turned left in front of him. He immediately looks up and turns his blue lights on and pulls me over. He looked dumbfounded at me like I was an idiot for turning left but I proceeded to tell him the light was green and he wasn't looking at the road and told him we could walk over to the PD (literally next door) and talk with Sherriff Cheek about it. He just looks at me and says "have a nice day".
I had my buddy with me as well and he tells me tells that story from time to time

You must live in extremely small town for you to keep running into the cop who you believe is "mean mugging" you over this.

Best: Coming back from a family trip to the beach in FL. Somewhere in MS, trooper pulls me over dead to rights doing 95-100. Walks up to the passenger side. I roll the window down, he looks in at everyone sleeping. Ask me if I knew why he pulled me over. I say yes....speeding. He says yes....97mph. I say that sounds right. Asks me where Im coming from. I say Florida on vacation. Ask me where Im going in such a hurry. I say home..Texas. Looks in the car again.....says slow down and walks back to his car. Got back on the road - no ticket. Still not sure what happened.
Worst: Got pulled over near Prairieville on 61 by a trooper for speeding. Tried to use the touching cloth excuse. He says OK get back in your car. Followed me to my house. Went inside for the proverbial wait time. Came back out, he handed me a ticket for speeding.....have a nice day. That explanation works about as well as 2 beers.

Small town police department. Inspection expired Dec 2022 and I got cited Jan 4, 2023. No leeway. I knew the former Chief very well and he took care of it. I didn't feel like spending $250.

Got pulled over once for speeding but was on way home from work at the hospital wearing scrubs. Smart cop saw the scrubs, heard hospital employee, and put away ticket book. Said the last thing he wants to hear in the ER is "oh it's the guy who wrote me a ticket." I literally called him a smart man to his face.

Worst: Got pulled over on a bogus traffic violation and they were itching to do a drug search. They kept me there for about 30 minutes trying to find a reason to call the K9 unit. Finally they let me go (there were no drugs for them to find anyway).
Best: Guy took charge and rendered first aid when my mother was having a seizure. He knew more than the EMTs. We wrote the chief a letter praising him.

Only have had good ones
Best. Pulled a state trooper out of a snow drift near the rocky gap.

In high school I skipped school once, and my friends brother wanted to show me where lil boosie lived on Garfield street. This was circa 2004
Well i drove us there and lo and behold, Boosie was standing in the driveway. We got out and talked to him and his friends for 15 minutes or so and then I bought a cd that he signed
Well when we were leaving a crown Victoria pulls up and boosie and everyone scatter. The cops got out and made me out my hands on the car while they searched my pockets. Then he said something about “ol boosie ran off like a pussy” and told me if he ever saw me in that neighborhood again I’d be arrested
Needless to say I never went back
but you can’t just arrest people for being on certain streets

Me and a group of friends were leaving a bar and we all piled into his SUV. We had 4 people in the backseat and 2-3 in the trunk area when a cop pulled up. I though he was going to yell at us for way overloading the SUV, when he walked up to the driver window, looked in, and said, "Your not Mexican" and then promptly left.

Got ruffed up pretty good when I was the passenger in the car of a guy getting a DUI. We were housed and mouthy, probably deserved to get it worse than I did.

Got a LACE ticket for going 5 over by LSP. I legit thought I was going to die with how loud he was and his hand on his gun.
My buddy was pulled over in Longmont, Co for following too close when we were heading to a strip club. The cop had to come to my side because of traffic. He couldn't hear my buddy so I had to keep repeating what he said. He kept asking about drugs and guns in the car and after the 5-6 time he asked, I chimed in and said, "He already said no". The cop said "Oh, I didn't ask you a question, now did I?"
He asked where we were heading and my buddy lied and said a friend's house and he didn't hear him again and looked at me to interpret and I just said "nope".

Headed to Florida in the family truckster as a kid for spring break. Pull off In Chattanooga at a cheap road side motel as we were having all sorts of transmission trouble. Cop sees us and our Wisconsin plates and pulls in to let us know the area is a little rough and to not leave our suitcases in the station wagon.
My dad casually asks if he knows of a good auto shop and he gives a reco.
An hour later, there is a knock on the door. Cop is off duty and shows up with his dad, who is a retired mechanic. Spends two hours working on our car in the parking lot in the dark.

Got caught parking with my girlfriend in high school. During the 70’s. By a cop that wanted us to have sex in front of him. We were both naked.
I told him to get fricked and to get on that radio in his car and call the Sheriff. Tell him you caught BFC fricking his girlfriend. He will know my name. ( He hunted with us, and I brought him a hind quarter every opening day ). You done fricked up.
It was handled and he wasn’t a cop anymore.
Years later I saw him at a bank drive in the aisle over from me. I ran to his car and got about three good licks on him before I was pulled off of him. Same Sheriff. No problems.

Wait, so you got a ticket for being 4 days over the expiration? Not to mention it's right after a holiday.

They call this “profiling”. Once a criminal always a criminal. I’m surprised other police don’t notice the criminal vibe you give off when they’re protecting and serving
