With the investing world waking up to this, Vanguard’s CEO withdrew from a $59 trillion ESG investing alliance

Why?

"Our research indicates that ESG investing does not have any advantage over broad-based investing"

Hopefully Blackrock follows suit and ESG dies a slow death.

Doubt it, Blackrock seems to be climate Nazis masquerading as an investment corp.

They'll continue their efforts, just not as openly stated as they were.

They’re sales people trying to attract capital flows. They’ll market funds in a manner that attracts the most flows.

Not just no financial advantages. Also doesn't reduce greenhouse gasses when going wind and solar results in burning more coal.

The substantial increase in Germany's emissions over the last 12 years as they invested huge monies into wind and solar should be enough to dismiss most of the policy "solutions" people have been trumpeting.

It doesn't work. It is more expensive. It has increased instead of decreased CO2 production.

Lol, this is too funny.
Saw some Canadian pension plans were singing the same tune.
They saw the insane returns they missed out on the past couple of years.

Money is still king.

Remember: YOU are the “carbon” they want to reduce!

Cutting down “carbon” is their code for population reduction and control.

Full stop.

When companies like Chevron have higher ESG scores than Tesla I tend to think it's not really much about climate at all

Exactly

It is pay for play. Not about ethical governance. Not about saving the environment

It's environmental, social, and governance, so there's plenty of other things Chevron is probably doing to their corporate culture.

The primary goal for a company is to increase the wealth of its shareholders not pander to ESG or some bullshite equity plan developed by the democrats.
