What Happens to Longhorn Network When Texas Joins SEC?

I'm assuming that it goes away.

I don't have an answer to your question, but I just want to point out Tejas is 28-20 since this statement was made.

I'm sure they will make it similarly as useless as ESPNU which shows the same replays over and over again while live college sports are being produced for and streamed on the app.

Their AD said it will be folded into the SEC Network.

ESPNNews is just as useless. It needs to go too.

The only time I ever watch that is because games have run long and so they start games on espnnews until
The ones on the main networks end

Hopefully it becomes the Longhorn/Aggie channel

SEC network will be folded into Longhorn Network and all SEC programming will be condensed and absorbed by LHN.

I’d think it could be absorbed into the ESPN family of networks (SEC) pretty seamlessly if they desired.

It will just be 24/7 replays of the USC/Texas Rose Bowl game…

My guess is it is going to be SECN- W or SECN II. ESPN and Texas have dropped way too much on facilities to drop it and it would help balance out the load for all of the other sports content (will be a godsend during baseball season as an example).
The real question will be does the SEC Network still headquarter at the ESPN Charlotte studio or move the Austin to have its own stand-alone facility. I doubt it would happen, but the howls from A&M would make it worth it.

That has always been weird hq’ing the SEC network in a non-SEC state. Put it in Nashville or something.

Repeats of LSU beating that arse from now until the network runs out of money.
We will allow the occasional replay of Texas/USC from 05...but no more than once a month.
