Do it . 3 part series. It’s Interesting.

Still in the news now about the crazy situation.

* I’m not worried about spoilers here because this is a current public trial so a lot of people know about some of what going on already.

There is a documentary on HBO as well called:

Low Country: The Murdaugh Dynasty.

Both documentaries are very good.

I don’t pay attention to much news and I started the show a couple nights ago not even realizing it’s still in the news currently with the trial.

I knew it was some shite with all the fraud in his law firm and then they charged him with the murder of his wife and son....I didn't have any idea the other bodies that this family potentially has on them. Insanity.

I mean I think it's pretty clear that the wife killed the maid that was their youngest son's acting mother. No doubt about it in my mind.

Was there a lot different in the Netflix one vs the HBO Max one? Just curious if it’s worth the time if you’ve seen the HBO Max one.

Good documentary. I hope they make another part with new episodes once the trial is over.

On another note, I’m not sure how something like this can be released during a pending case. It reminds me when Alpha Dog was released prior to Jesse Hollywood going on trial. There were some law suits around that at the time and it was a movie, not a doc.

and the netflix one is a bunch of heresay and opinions. it’s a weird doc. i think the guy is guilty as sin but seems this could be lawsuit territory or even grounds for acquittal since he won’t be able to find an impartial jury

So was the HBO one. The cop they interviewed who said the gay kid was murdered later admitted that Alex Murdaugh stole money from him. Seems he may have been a bit biased. One thing I can't understand is how he incurred so much debt. The amount of opiods he could have bought w/ his salary plus the money he stole would have killed a horse. The shock from the trial was when the maid testifed that Alex told her to go clean up the house and the cops let her in a crime scene to do that. Alex had just taken a shower and his dirty (presumably blood stained) clothes were on the ground in the bathroom.

I had to find a new cardiologist after mine was indicted for writing scrips for patients who gave him a percentage of the pills back, so he could take them. Super smart guy who originally got an electrical engineering degree, before deciding to join his father and siblings as a medical doctor. Was the best young cardiologist in NELA.

I been wondering how the hell to say Alex Murdaugh, on the stand he pronounced his own family name as MURduck and others have called him Alec. I guess it's some weird southern dynasty crap they do to be unique. Same as that cringy PawPaw shite

I’d give a slight edge to Netflix. The HBO version gives more time and attention to Stephen Smith’s and Gloria Satterfield’s deaths.

Still confused why both networks chose to a make a doc about an ongoing case/trial, seems like they could have just waiting another year or two until everything was settled (assuming thats how long it would be)

I read that Netflix is going to make a second installment of it to cover the trial.
