Started scouting this week and it’s getting time. What are y’all shooting? Why do you like it or dislike it.
Has anyone heard of Indian Creek Shooting Systems chokes?
Does anyone shoot the Carleson’s Long Beard XR?

it's different gun to gun, load to load

Podnuh gave me a pattern master code black .665for my SBE2 and with TSS it is impressive at how many pellets it puts on target.

No one can tell you what’s gonna shoot in your gun, with your barrel. Look around to see what people have tried in your model gun and use that as a starting point. I’m trying out an Indian creek this year but I bought the gun specifically because it’s known to shoot this choke well. It still may not shoot it worth a shite and I’ll have to get another one or a different restriction.

I like the Jelly Head in my Rem 870 super magnum with Winchester Long Beard XR 3.5" 6 shot

I like what each gun likes. And so far they all like a different choke and load combination. Best bet is to pattern accordingly with multiple rounds until you find what's holding best.

I shoot a Carlsons extended turkey choke out of my BPS with the Winchester longbeard XR. Works pretty good.

I have a JellyHead in my Super Vinci, but honestly for me it doesn't matter as I suck at turkey hunting.

Agree here. I will be patterning my m2 20 very soon here. Will be shooting strictly Apex TSS, either the greenleaf blend or the NINJA
I will be testing each thru a patternmaster long range, carlsons turkey and an Indian creek .555. Will go with whatever is best

Purchased an Indian Creek last year. Shoots great with my super black eagle 2. First year turkey hunting and got my first turkey. Ready for April 1! They recommended model 0005 .665 and apex ninja or apex small blend.

got one on my 12 gauge. Have shot at one turkey 35 yards out w 3 in TSS #9 and it was a goner. I'm sure it all depends on several factors but I got a damn fine turkey choke for my 12 gauge as far as I'm concerned.
Just bought one for a 20 gauge I won this year and have yet to pattern it in.

Every gun is unique , need to decide what ammo you can afford then try several chokes from the big names I.e trulock, Indian creek, pure gold , sumtoy etc.
I’d suggest buying some tss . Don’t let anyone tell you it isn’t worth it. Note: you don’t need an overly tight constriction with tss , i for example shoot a .690 in my 870.
Excellent 20” pattern at 40

Gonna shoot my youth 20 ga 870 this season. Where should I start choke wise?

This is the truth. Don’t choke it down too much. 500 pellets in a pie plate at 50 yards sounds sexy and all, but most of the turkeys killed are 25 yards and in. Don’t shoot something so tight you are gonna miss them.

I got good patterns with Trulock TSS choke in my 20g M2.

I use an old arse Remington 11-48 12ga. I tried, not very hard, to find a turkey choke to fit it, but didn't find one. So I just have the full choke in there. Have yet to see a turkey, last year was my first attempt. We'll see. Pattern on cardboard from normal distance seemed just fine.

So I just have the full choke in there.
Killed my first with lead through a fixed full choke, brass bead, on a blued/wood pos that wouldn’t eject. None of the tinkering with tss and chokes is absolutely necessary but it’s fun as hell, and I could do without a bunch of pellets in the breast

Last season used a Carlson’s tss extended choke in my sbe2 shooting federal tss 3” 9 shot. Impressed at the tight pattern.

For a youth 870 TRUGLO TG177X
Been killing them with that for years. You don’t want to over tighten tss
Now I mainly take a .410
