Not sure about breakthroughs. Probably at first, can’t describe it. I know I loved and abused the frick out of all of them. I’ve had Hundreds of trips, shrooms and lsd. I think i have some craziness from that but when I was young, I loved them. It was amazing what you could tap into mentally. I’ve had a few close calls with bad trips but I was so fricked up I would go into my trips joking about how I hoped I lose my shite. I saw some good buddies not have good ones, I was in the beetle juice model one time with the rubber grass and shite…. He was convinced his dad knew and was after us. Looking back I wish I could have enjoyed it more without being an addict haha. No way I could handle it now. I did way too much.

The only breakthrough I had was me realizing I never wanted to do psychedelics again, after doing LSD one time. I told myself that I’m good with just weed.

Do shrooms show up on drug tests?

Lots of drugs don't show up on the typical routine drug tests employers order. Some are only looking for 5 classes of drugs. That doesn't mean it isn't possible to detect you using ANYTHING, just highly unlikely that anyone would look for it.

Yes. I had a profound insight when tripping on mushrooms that I was wasting my time and limiting my brain by getting stoned all the time, and that people who were objectively less intelligent were getting ahead of me because they were working harder. It was a tough insight. I responded by spending the next five semesters earning a 4.0 average and then going into the graduate program I wanted to get into. I've never doubted the insight I had the last time I took mushrooms.

I recently started micro dosing shrooms. I would say it’s absolutely been life changing. I thought it was just in my mind but the more I read and talked to other people I realized it really did make a huge difference in my life. It’s like a dark cloud has been lifted from my mind. I’m far more patient, relaxed and don’t find myself as anxious. Just generally a better person all around.

I would highly recommend to anyone dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, etc.

Me and some buddies started picking large bags of mushrooms out of a field in Denham Springs in the late 90’s as teenagers. We were partly doing it to get fricked up, but it also expanded the mind and made me realize how truly interconnected we all are. It made me more kind, understanding, and empathetic even as an a-hole teen. It started my desire and journey to seek more and eventually leave the area without looking back. Fast forward to my adult years and I still use them some. Sometimes to have fun at a concert and other times as a reset on a camping trip. You can’t beat a good dose out in the mountains. It’s a spiritual cleanse.

The more I learned about microdosing the more interested I got. I decided to give it a try to become a better version of myself. I don’t think there’s any doubt it worked. I naturally drank less, ate better, had better work focus, and was able to take leaps and bounds in my climbing progression which was my main focus outside of work and socializing. Patience was a big issue for me and it got much better. This was on the Fadiman schedule taking roughly 1/15 of a normal dose every 3rd day

I take .2g in a capsule every 3-4 days.

I’m glad you mentioned focus. I’ve noticed a big difference in my focus at work as well. I tend to get more done and don’t find myself as distracted.

I was playing golf the other day and it started raining, we were sitting under a shelter waiting for it to stop and my buddy game me some chocolate with the shrooms in it.
Long story short about an hour later I made a bargain with the Thunder Gods and made the rain stop.
Got dark before we could finish the round though.

Did some shrooms back in college

Only breakthrough I really had was I realized which of my friends I truly trusted and which ones I didn't.

Mushrooms + some DMT = Figured life out, Almost 7 years since I've gotten drunk and during that time I have lost and maintained a life changing amount of weight(505 then/254 now). I just look at life differently now, every aspect of it. Psilocybin can fix some things in your mind you might not realize were broken, and they are a blast too lol.

Graham Hancock does some interesting studies and resulting theories on ancient civilizations and their use of psychedelics. He has a netflix series out and a couple good podcasts with Joe Rogan in addition to his books.

I’ve gone to mars with every psychedelic you can think of and yes, I’ve had permanently life changing experiences for the better.

I’ve had some mushrooms in my freezer for a couple of years now, intending to try them again. I’m in my 50’s and just haven’t felt in right frame of mind to trip again. Well, the lady I’ve been seeing, also in her 50’s, found them the other night and asked about them. She’s never even smoked weed but when I told her what they were she was interested in trying them. So now we are planning a trip to find a cabin somewhere and eat some mushrooms. Hope she doesn’t freak out.

it's mostly about setting. a cabin in the woods sounds perfect. a lot of bad trips result from poor setting
