Considering basketball brings in the most money. i’m fine tanking the baseball program…
But that is ridiculous. Michigan is competitive in all three every year, Alabama will now have a top 5 football and basketball program with a preseason top 25 baseball team. Tennessee will have top 10 teams in all 3.
You don’t need to pay a basketball coach 10 mill to be elite. Nor do you need a fancy new arena.
We are within 4-5 hours or less from Memphis, Houston, Jackson, New Orleans, and Little Rock. You can build an elite program just recruiting the AAU talent within a 4-5 hour radius of Baton Rouge

Totally agree McMahon needs to step down at the end of year move on and learn how to coach basketball most high school coaches know how to make sure there players know how to execute at the end of a game they work on it instead of rolling out the ball playing shirtes and skins and 1st one to 11 wins

There is no way that our program would have taken a hit by sanctions that could have be construed as bad as this year has been to our program. A total ban may have saved us from watching loss after loss. My guess is that men’s basketball is a drain on the athletic department and it’s hard to imagine it being much better next year. The trajectory has drastically changed by poor decisions by coaches and administrators.

Or shite if the NCAA gets pissed about you fighting back for fricking LSU Basketball and this shite bleeds into football.....some of yall really ready to risk football instead of taking the basketball sacrifice. I was a Wade super fan and you’re right. I’d take him in a heartbeat over what we are watching now but yea we never looked close to a final 4 caliber team

You don’t have all of the info Woodward has. I can tell you’ve never been in leadership. Sometimes you have info that you can’t share with the rest of your organization or the public, but you have to use that info in making a decision.

BTW, didn’t that shithead who started that thread say that WW’s hearing was “this week” pointing to last week?
If word was out on the street where a jackleg on Tiger Rant knew for certain Wade would skate, wouldn’t it obviously be all over the internet and ESPN, with Vitale and Forde etc. tweeting about it nonstop?

Amazing how gullible the Wade frick boys are. If WW isn’t slapped with a 5-10 year show cause, I’ll be surprised. Hell, the NCAA has his texts.
Now is McMahon the long term answer? I don’t know, but he’ll be evaluated no doubt after he’s had three full seasons to try and clean up Wade’s mess. That’s fair and if no progress is made, Scott will fire him. But make no mistake, this is a long term rebuild necessitated by Will Wade not knowing how to cheat.
But a couple facts:
1) I split my sides laughing at the Wade frick boys thinking there’s any chance at Woodward being fired over Wade. Scott Woodward is 100 times more valuable to LSU athletics than Will Wade ever was or ever will be.
2) No matter how this turns out, Scott Woodward was absolutely right to jettison Wade.
Once again, you nine or ten Wade frick boys starting inane and repetitive threads can wrestle with those all you want to.
