Wood stock rifle in 300 WSM

I’m looking for a new rifle, prefer 300wsm. I’m not finding very many with a wood stock-I like a traditional looking gun me. Any recs? All I see is browning a bolt and a tikka. Love the weatherby and rem 700 but neither come in that combo that I can tell. Thanks for any help

and a tikka.
That would be my rec. Is there something you don't like about them?

I think you can get a Blaser R8 in that caliber.

Winchester Model 70 comes in wood stock and .300wsm. And I think savage made one at one point too but not sure if it's in current production.
The model 70 super grade is very nice

Didn't they stop making the WSM ?
I hunted with one a few years ago and remember it was hard to find ammo, pre Covid.

This one is easy. Model 70 super grade. Still made in WSM calibers and a very nice rifle.

If you’re going new, get the 300 PRC. Or if you like the Weatherby, go with the 300 WBY, mag. The 300 WSM is fading away.

I got that A-bolt, me. Arturo has a 300wsm in a Wetherby. But he’s had it a long long time. Buy his. He probably needs the money anyhow. Haha

Does it have to be a new gun? I'm a wood/blue guy and find myself mostly looking used.
If you want to look at something different check out a Roessler titan 6. I have one in 243 and love it. TR imports in Fort Worth is the US distributor, you can call and talk to them.

Unless you reload, 300wsm is hard to find ammo for. However, I have one and and love it. Tikka lite veil which is camo, cerakoted, fluted and threaded barrel and big bolt knob. Grab a gun had a bunch in stock. That’s where I got mine

I love my browning 300 wsm but I haven't been able to find any ammo in a year.

My brother has a savage, thumbhole stock he bought years ago. They probably still make them. Check them out too.

didn't realize that the WSM was falling out of favor. Looking online, all the manufacturers are still making 300 Win mag. Guess it has better staying power?

Buy a synthetic stock rifle and order you a Woox stock. Go check them out. High Quality furniture for your rig.

I’ve heard that the short mags don’t feed well due to cartridge design. And you are correct, the 300 WIN mag is tried and true. The 300 PRC is hot right now. Who knows if it’ll have staying power.

That’s the problem with all the ammo companies putting out new cartridges that fill tiny niches. I know I bitch about this all the time, but when you water down the supply with too many unnecessary options, more and more cartridges suffer.

I have an 300 wsm A bolt that’s wood/blued. My wife gave it to me for a wedding present when we got married in 2003. I reload for it so ammo isn’t an issue. It’s mostly a safe queen now as I’ve grown to dislike recoil. I’ll never get rid of it.
I believe Browning still makes the BLR in 300 Wsm.

Yea if you aren't glued to that caliber for some reason, a regular ol 300 win mag is going to give you significantly more options in rifles and ammo. The whole WSM fad has faded. Rifle options are slim as you are seeing and ammo options are as well. 300 win mag is a fantastic do everything caliber for all of North America.
300 prc is a magnum length cartridge (375 h&h length) so it required magnum actions. It's the big fad right now and likely isn't going anywhere because it's a better longgggggg range (over 1000 yards) caliber than the win mag, but that's a non issue for the vast majority of us.
