there are a lot of things possible when you have more money than you can spend. Most normal people, don't want kids later in life due to the financial stress of having them and the energy it takes to keep up. If you can hire nannies to do all the little things involved in a kid and not have the stress of money, then you can do what you want.
I just got a divorce finalized a few weeks ago. She ended up buying my house for a big price cut and I moved into my barn a few miles away because the lawyer told me if I fought her, she would get about 50k from me in court. We owned NOTHING together, she had an affair, and were only married 4 years. No kids together, in fact, she has a kid from another marriage and he doesn't pay child support. Yeah, this is certainly a scary time to get married with not much upside if something goes sideways.
I'm not saying that I'm put off of marriage, I know I married a piece of shite the first time but I will be much more picky for the next time. I hate the ideas of prenups but I now understand them too.

And that's the women's fault?
Yes, it absolutely is women's fault that 80% of them have such overinflated opinions of themselves that they all think they're worthy of the top 10% of men.

Most of the other men aren't sought after because they are slobs, don't understand hygiene, display a lot of the sentiment in this thread, lack empathy, and are actually undesirable.
This is a gross generalization and incredibly sexist.

Imagine being a woman and not being able to cook because you have a “career” that’s really just posting stuff on Facebook at a car dealership
That's kind of the "have they bitten off more than they can chew" issue.
Lots of guys (esp on here due in part to sample skewing) do lots of "women work" as well as having proper jobs. There is a large population of educated-urban women who think that they had this binary choice and since they got a "real job" they literally just can't do any of the other stuff. Then you have male partners (or options) who work AND cook AND do laundry, etc. At a certain point the guy goes "the frick?"
Why would that guy want to take the financial and emotional risk of marriage and children with THAT sort of woman? That's where the stereotype/meme developed.

OTs view of women astounds me.
Sorry you guys haven't found the right one, or have had bad experiences with them.
LOL at blaming it all on them.

I have been married for over twenty years. It was a different time when we got married. In todays world, I would never do it. Women have changed too much in the last 10 years or so. They look at the made up lives on social media and bachelorette shows and think that’s how life should be. They are too shallow to know most of that is fake. And it’s easier for dudes to get laid now then ever in the past. Swipe left! You kidding me? We had to date them.

American women just aren't worth the risk if you make that much money.
As someone with two friends who are getting absolutely raped divorcing their foreign wives (Brazil for one, Israel for the other).. I wouldn't be so quick on that one.
Wait til you hear about custody/divorce laws in Israel for non-citizens that were 3 months away from achieving citizenship which took 5 years to obtain..

I think the paradigm you're missing is the "career woman" who has rejected cooking to avoid those typical gender roles OR out of that lazy, disguised as urban, lifestyle. The "not cooking" variable is just a sign of bigger issues.
If you're a person (man or woman) and you don't know how to cook, that doesn't necessarily mean you're a bad partner. It's why you don't know how to cook that is the real issue. Lots of guys have met women whose refusal to learn how to cook is a red flag for deeper issues.
If you're a guy and you refuse to help with "women work" because of the status perceptions (or, again, laziness), then that's a huge red flag the same.
As with all other things in any equal partnership, a good marriage depends upon both parties communicating well when one or both feels unsatisfied with the division of labor.
I do dishes.
My wife does dishes.
I do laundry.
She does laundry.
I cook.
She Cooks.
I wash her car.
She removes the suitcase worth of random trash and vacuums the floor.

Most of the other men aren't sought after because they are slobs, don't understand hygiene, display a lot of the sentiment in this thread, lack empathy, and are actually undesirable. Just be a person. Dress well enough, keep you house clean, take a shower, pick up a social hobby, control your alcohol intake, get in shape. Not because you're pursuing women, but because that's what people do. I know grown men that still won't eat vegetables. Not as in "I'm doing the carnivore diet" but they have this weird quasi-macho hatred towards vegetables. Many times on this board I see people hemming and hawing about a woman they like, but they're Jerry Seinfeld style hung up on the size of her big toe or a weird motion she makes with her arms. Or, and this is even worse, they go down the "wonder how she'll get along with my family" as if their family is the end all be all to a healthy relationship. Tl;dr -- clean yourself up, actually respect women (don't pretend), and find someone you like. Understand that if you went until 35 single, you fricked yourself in terms of the dating pool. It's not women's fault.
I really hope you’re a woman bro

More guys are waking up and realizing that in most cases, marriage is financial suicide from a statistical perspective.
It’s only suicide if you marry a home maker that cheats on you or you don’t want to give them shite. If you marry someone that works at all, marriage isn’t suicide at all financially.
With so many women working, I know plenty of relationships where the man married up. I have multiple friends whose spouses are doctors, pharmacists, or dentists. If they got divorced they would be just fine…

If Gwen Stefani is having children in her 50s, she's birthing an implanted, fertilized egg that was frozen 10-15 years ago. She isn't having a baby naturally from normal conception at that age. No amount of money can change that.

I presume most people are in Louisiana here and wonder if it is due to the pool of women available.

I don't think I could even conceptualize a relationship with a woman who went to college and had her dorm room professionally decorated.
This kind of narcissistic social-media fueled bullshite that has just eliminated a huge chunk of the female population.

So she whored herself out to a guy that whelped her, he never gave a dime, she scored the lottery with you, then whored herself out again after she stole your house?
Sounds about right.

I'm not going to argue absolutely in the other direction. I think that women also need to take a look at themselves and understand that they won't find the perfect man. 100% agreed. A lot of them are after a fairy tale guy that doesn't exist.
Perhaps my perspective is different, but I've seen it with old friends from high school, as well as random guys on the streets of downtown Boise.
I see normal guys, well adjusted men dressed well, look like they have means. But they are typically already taken. So I'm not talking about all men.
But what I see far more often is men, in groups of 5-6, roaming the streets acting like idiots. Not college kids. I'm talking men in their 30s. Being loud, drawing attention to themselves, eye fricking women, being dickbags. I don't even know if they are aware of how they look. I'm not a woman, but I would imagine that they look very undesirable. And that's just one faction. That's the guys that can actually get out and about. There's an entirely other faction that have such a hard time putting themselves together they they hole up and play video games. This is not a secret or conjecture. Go on Twitch or Youtube on a Friday and Saturday night and look around.
I know duality is hard for some people on here, so I'll spell it out even though I don't think it needs to be said. I look at women. My wife knows I look at women. My wife looks at other men. It's biological. What isn't biological, however, is the holding of the gaze for 10 seconds while a woman walks by and then nudging your friend, very unsubtly, and making everyone around you uncomfortable because you lack tact.
Men need to do better in terms of presenting themselves or the 10% of men will keep fricking everything. Women who desperately want to get married and settled down need to accept reality. It's not a one sided thing.

Go spend some time in divorce court and grow up a bit.
Marriage isn't worth it unless the woman makes more money.
