1- 401k (Fidelity)
1- Roth IRA (Vanguard)
1- Roth IRA (Fidelity)
1- Personal Investment Acct (Fidelity)
1- Daughter 1 Investment Acct (Fidelity)
1- Daughter 2 Investment Acct (Fidelity)

5 Total, previously with all different places (Vanguard, Fidelity, RH). Within the last year moved all except Roth IRA to Fidelity because of personal preferences.

Haha, forgot about the IRA with $0 in it. And the HSA but we haven't "invested" ours. Or the FSA since it goes away every year.

Ya I didn't put the Dependent Care FSAs since that's not an investment vehicle.

Or the investments checking account I have for international travel since I don't invest there either.

If we were counting accounts linked to Mint mine would be crazy

At Fidelity, I have:
-1x Rollover IRA
-1x Roth IRA
-1x HSA
-1x Taxable investment

For work, I have a trad 401k and HSA that is at another provider. So I've got 6 but ideally it would be 4.

Whenever I leave that job/retire; I'll roll over both to Fidelity. It's very nice to have everything in one place. Not sure I understand the appeal of using different companies unless they offer some unique investment product.

IMO, that’s a good approach. But other than my company 401K and HSA, I tend to just use TDA/Schwab for the other accounts and investment types: traditional IRA investing, Roth IRA investing, HSA and my options trading account. Although I might spin the options trading account into TastyTrade or Interactive Brokers, depending on how well Schwab integrates (or changes) Think or Swim. I look at my Treasury Direct account as more of a savings account, since it just holds short term instruments that will only remain as long as yields are attractive.

Too many. It's frustrating that 'life' forces complexity even when you do everything possible to keep it simple.
