There’s a reason all these Burrow/LA cockroaches have come out from under ground. Their hometown team is in the worst position in the NFL.

No future QB

No 1st round pick this year

Old players (Kamera, Thomas, Cameron Jordan)

Shitty head coach.

Shitty cap situation

I wouldn't say we're without direction. We are going to have to begin a long-term rebuilding plan after a decade of title contention and our HOF QB retiring and HC leaving. It happens.

The Bucs are going to face a similar (although more acute) rebuild once Brady leaves this offseason.

If we had QB/OC/HC worthy of contention, the cap wouldn't matter. We do not, so trying to go about it that way would not be intelligent.

Who are you comparing the Saints to? The Texans are by far the worst run organization in the NFL and it's not even close. Benson is pretty passive and lets Loomis run the team with some degree of success, but old McNair is actively sabotaging his own team for some odd reason. The Saints could be compared to Tampa Bay right now because they are not totally hopeless.

I just don't understand the Taysom deal. I have no dog in the fight but why?

Payton thought he could mold him into a super QB. It was his pet project and now we're proper fricked b/c we can't really do anything with him except extend him to decrease his cap hit and kick the can down the road for like the 4th time

Falcons have young talent on offense. Bucs are a year ahead in their rebuild since they have a first round pick and will likely receive compensation for Godwin/Evans assuming they tear it down.

Godwin is on a franchise, right?

And the Bucs' advantage is only extending their window one more year. The Saints have done that a few times, which increases the time it will take to unwind it all. Why I said earlier they had a similar situation but more acute.

Some of you people are really spoiled and have never had to endure a rebuild. It's kind of embarrassing to those of us who have been Saints fans for longer than a decade.

A lot of you aren't going to make it.

Unless you assume they kept the dynamic duo around to get us in position to draft our next franchise QB next offseason… yes

How many other teams in the league have won 7 or more games every single season over the last 15 years? We dump on Loomis, but he has shown that he can put together a consistent winner, year in and year out.

We are in the same company as the Steelers and Patriots over the same timeframe.

Both under 30, and "should" be entering that last big contract before the floor drops.

Between the hips and shoulder MT is still elite. His biggest questions are where is his head, and will his legs every be healthy for a full season. With that said, his contract is set-up for an easy cut so the team can move on.

Last game of the year shows AK can still make it happen when the game plan is right, and his mind is in the game. Problem is, with the way this team was going (to your HC point), he had no reason to believe in the team and put his body/future on the line. It'll be interesting to see what happens next year if this team shows any life.

As long as Hou, Clev, Rams, Indy, Az...are around, Saints have some direction. Hell, you may even be able to throw Carolina in the directionless camp. How much did they throw at bringing in QBs to just get worse with each one they brought in. Unfortunately, they may be able to fix that this year

Just embrace the tank and clear the books like the Texans did this season.

and the panthers are in a better spot only because they've begun the rebuild and have picks.

NFCS is going to be bad for a couple more years, we need to shite or get off the pot and start a rebuild.
