The shooting happened on Bennington Ave. at Club Dior Bar & Lounge around 1:30am on Sunday, Jan. 22nd.
It’s unclear what led up to the shooting but at least five people were transported to area hospitals by an ambulance. However, multiple other people showed up to various Baton Rouge hospitals on their own in private vehicles. It’s why a final count of the number of people shot in the mass shooting is unclear at this time.
Sources added the DJ at the club was also shot, possibly a bullet to the spine. A woman took a bullet to the chest. That’s just some of the victims’ and locations of their injuries to indicate the level of current conditions.
Although there were multiple victims in critical condition, like the DJ and woman shot, thankfully, no one has died as of early Sunday morning. That can change as the day progresses.
The final count of people shot is still unclear but multiple credible sources have said up to 15 people were injured.
The initial call was reported as multiple shooting victims inside of Club Dior Bar & Lounge.
Baton Rouge Police is leading the investigation into the shooting. As of now, no arrests have been made and a motive of what led to the shooting in unclear.

The amount of crime that goes on in BR only gets partially seen. If the news showed every shooting, change might actually occur. The mayor and chief might actually have to answer real questions

Watched 9news Friday night cause I wanted to see the weather. Lead story was about the California floods, second story was Joe Biden’s reaction to the California floods. Third story was about a little black girl who made her own insecticide to fight insects- IN NEW JERSEY! Not a single story or follow up on anything local.
Not a single story of any merit. Greg Meriweather (sp) sat there spitting this shite out like the paid talking head he is. The
Local media is an abomination.
At least I was reminded of why I quit watching the local news to begin with.

Statistically, I would bet that it was the Italians. Ruffian degenerates. No better than The Irish, I say. It probably was a sit down-gone-bad in Gino’s that spilled over into the parking lot . I hope no Laurence Bread was hurt.

I haven’t stepped foot into that IHOP or any IHOP in years, but have noticed that one seems to have taken a major dive through the Covid era.
The one on Siegen seems ok at least from the outside appearance of things.
