I WFH now and I can emphatically say that I do next to nothing. The same would be the case if I had to go in to a physical location, but then I'd have to wear pants.

Gotta be careful. If you get paid a lot of money and work from home, people will start to ask if you are really needed.

It’s great isn’t it? I take my daughter to daycare and then do whatever I want until I pick her up. Golf, biking, run errands, take naps. Anything but work really.

There is a heathly balance. It's good to have a break between your personal and professional life.

I work from home more days than I go to the office but I stay just as busy at home. I probably dick off more in the office to be honest.

I thought this was going to be another Waffle House thread.

I honestly don't know what to do with all the extra time. My administrative duties and meetings maybe take up 15 hours a week.

I started WFH in 2016. I thought I would hate it, but I don't. Couldn't go back to a 9-5 office anymore.
But it's a balance. Yes, you are home, and no one is watching you, but I also am now more readily available in the evenings and weekends to answer things because my office is 20 feet from my bedroom. Cuts both ways.

We went hybrid. In the office Tues-Thurs and wfh on Mon and Fri. People are worthless on Mon and Fri. It’s amazing what has become acceptable in the last couple of years.
If you’re a low to mid level employee it’s prob great. If you’re in upper management and need to coordinate with other groups and have responsibilities it’s a nightmare.
If the CEO is fine with things not being as efficient and taking a bit longer then it’s fine I guess for the company. To sit here and say the company overall is just as well oiled with everyone sitting at home is absolutely delusional.

This is true.
I got a call at 6AM yesterday morning from an employee who told me in great detail about how he was bleeding from his arse due to hemorrhoids and he couldn't make his shift. Really pleasant conversation.

Aww poor babies are mad they are having to pay upkeep for buildings that aren't needed as well as all the property they bought up for themselves to rent out that are sitting vacant now?

It wasn't FTX's money to give. Sure, the kids did not wrong but neither did the people that got scammed. Best option is to make everyone as whole as possible. I know one thing for sure, the Lawyers are going to win either way.

The oncoming recession got these CEOs cracking down.
Recessions cause reforms.

That seems like a great idea, my job is similar. Nobody does anything on Monday because it’s Monday and if it’s Friday it can wait until next week.

I'm far more productive during my remote days than I am when I head into the office. Working remotely allows for a more relaxed morning wherein I can just jump on when a work order needs processing. For hourly workers, time is money and the time spent driving to work is unpaid.
Throw in the fact that I can have a fresh lunch, take the dog for a walk, help clean up around the house, do laundry, or whatever else needs to be done and I'll never go back to working full-time hours at a specified location that isn't my home.
