I don't understand how some people don't remember how bad it was. I miss Wade. He actually had me interested and excited about basketball.

It’s pretty clear that Woody made the right calls on Kelly, Johnson, and Mulkey…..but if Wade doesn’t get a show cause his firing will be a huge blemish on Woody’s record.

There were plenty of other non-“blue bloods” called out in that FBI investigation….none of them fired their coach.

Will Wade's 5 year run at LSU was the best 5 year run LSU has had in over 30 years but somehow that wasn't good enough for some people. Really is absurd
Do you realize that his 5 year run includes how he left the team? You know with major violations and not a single player or recruit? His 5 year run left the program in the toilet.

Not saying there won’t be penalties down the road, but can you show me the major violations that penalized the program?

Nothing has been handed down by the NCAA.

What violations? Did I miss sanctions being announced?

It’s the portal era, any time a successful coach leaves a school (for any reason) there is going to be a mass exodus.

Sean Miller left Zona in a much worse position, their AD went out and made a good hire. Ours made the lazy, cheap hire.

So the story of Will wade using his own bank account to pay recruits is false?

You hit the nail on the head. But it obvious that a portion of rantards would rather cheat and win so they can gloat about a championship. Wade cheated. He had talent that was bought. Downvote away.

And I bet you’ve rooted for one of Duke, unc, Kansas, Kentucky, etc. in a championship final before. I can’t believe just how naive some grown adults can be

Shows how little you paid attention. The allegation was that he paid a FORMER player’s ex girlfriend when she blackmailed him. Even if he did that, it’s not NCAA violation at the point the player is out of eligibility.

My assumption is the independent panel could not support the allegations with usable information. The NCAA’s bylaws limit what kind of information can be used as a basis for punishment. Most importantly, it cannot be anonymous sourced information. 90-95% of what they alleged against Wade were based on anonymous sources, including the Dawkins tape.

No I really didn’t pay attention cause nobody really knows what’s going on behind the scenes. Well if what you’re saying is true, Scott should’ve stayed Pat and shouldn’t have budged, Assuming you’re information is indeed factual.

That is what was in the NOA. Read and educate yourself before you make statements.

The NOA specifically outlined that he paid the ex girlfriend of a former player.

YOU need to go back and re-read it. I just did to be sure, and you are incorrect. Yes, he allegedly paid a former player’s fiancé hush money, but that is a SEPARATE allegation.

There is ALSO an allegation that he directed payments from a joint account with his wife to a recruiter who steered (and likely also payed) players. The two are both in the report, along with an allegation of a specific $300,000 payment to a player by Armstrong that Wade knew about.

On3’s write-up on the NOA

Holy shite, are you that dumb. The statement was that he paid players directly out of his account then you post this to prove me wrong.

He paid a person who was believed to have influenced a recruit. Goes back to my point of usable evidence. Someone’s belief is not usable, they would need someone with actual knowledge to connect the dots. The NCAA didn’t have that.

You have literally made my point.
