Greenland Ice Sheet Warmest In At Least 1,000 Years As Scientists Warn Melting Ice Will Accelerate Sea-Level Rise
by Brian Bushard
Jan 18, 2023

Recent temperatures in Greenland’s ice sheet—one of the primary culprits behind rising seas—were the warmest they’ve been in at least 1,000 years, according to a new report, as scientists warn the melting of Greenland’s ice could threaten coastal communities around the world.
...

Researchers attribute Greenland’s “recent extreme” temperature rise to human-caused global warming, although they note a slower long-term rate of warming has been observed on the island since 1800.

The warming was likely also affected by periods of warmer weather caused by a phenomenon known as Greenland blocking, a meteorological event that leaves high pressure systems over Greenland, pushing warmer air farther north.

But 1000 years ago during the Medieval Climate Optimum, atmospheric CO2 was only about 2/3rds present levels ....

... it's all so confusing. It's almost like there must be another source of warming.

I just don't know what it could possibly be though.

Yeah

It's called "leaving the Little Ice Age"

FWIW, the LIA started about 700 years ago, so this "1,00 years" isn't shocking to me.

That has been the case since the last ice age. The rate of polar ice melt for the last 2000 years is at it's lowest rate however.

Isn’t this the same ice sheet that was supposed to have totally melted and flooded every major city in the world by 2012?

With all the laws, accords, conferences, virtue signaling, name calling, subsidies, etc. to fight the apparent number one culprit of climate change, CO2, it appears CO2 just moves along unabated.

The fact that humans think they can stop the warming or cooling of a 4 billion year old rock is the most naive shite I've ever heard of in my life.

Right on cue as the WEF says climate change is the number one threat.

For acolytes… this is evidence of a long history of damage caused by gas stove use.

Check the movement of the magnetic poles. While Greenland is warming because it is not as far north other areas are getting colder as the have shifted into a colder area.

Changes in tornado alley can be connected directly to this as well.

Amen. The arrogance of people surrounding this issue is almost difficult to comprehend.

To quote a Geography professor I had at LSU, Mother Earth is pretty resilient on her own.

So it was warmer 1000 years ago?

Anthropogenic global warming was terrible 500 million years ago.

How is the earth's tilt relative to the last 1000 years? Heck, just look at the last 100 years.

quote:

Earth's axis is currently tilted 23.4 degrees, or about half way between its extremes, and this angle is very slowly decreasing in a cycle that spans about 41,000 years. It was last at its maximum tilt about 10,700 years ago and will reach its minimum tilt about 9,800 years from now.

NASA says so!!

Indeed.
The Medieval Climate Optimum was about 1°C warmer

RISING SEA LEVELS!!!!! SHUT IT ALL DOWN!!! Lol

Let’s do a quick 2nd grade science experiment. Put ice in a glass, pour water in it. When the ice melts does the glass over flow? Lol

This is why they focus on the Greenland ice sheet. It's on land.

Check this link out. The magnetic north pole is moving fast AF (in a geologic sense). The magnetic south pole is also moving in correspondence to the north but it appears at a slower rate. The difference is probably in indication of the an iron core imbalance.
