Ruby Ridge - Why did the Govt get obsessed with Randy Weaver?

I understand the reason they say, but it just doesn't make sense.
1. Sawed off some shotguns.
2. Went to some white supremacists gatherings.
Missed court dates.... And??? And???
I'm not saying the dude didn't break the law or that I agree with his beliefs, but it's like Govt brought down the fury on a small time weed seller or something.
You probably walk by more people daily in Baton Rouge that deserve to be arrested.
What was their hard-on with him?

The govt set him up, killed his family, and there were zero repercussions

wasn't this the same situation as Waco? The FBI and ATF were both itching for an excuse to swing their dicks around and get some media coverage?

I thought they solicited him to be an informant on the aryan brotherhood group and he refused. Then to force him to comply they entrapped him to modify a shotgun so they could hold those charges over his head to force compliance to spy on the brotherhood for them.

He never would play ball. They hate that shite.

They needed to make an example for the rest of us who were taking that freedom delusion too seriously.

They were trying to turn him into a snitch.
He wouldn’t do what they instructed.
Y’alls buddy Bill Barr wrote the rules of engagement and he wasn’t going to let that stand.

They wanted the Aryan nations and he said no to becoming an informant.
Many people have had their legs chopped off by the federal govt because they wouldn't inform or had nothing to inform on.

Similar narrative as today. They were obsessed with Randy, rather they were convinced that several “right wing” groups made up of “white people” were threats to the government. Randy had the ability to mingle with these groups bc he lived near them and kept to himself. The feds literally picked him to target in an entrapment ploy in hope of using it to leverage him as a confidential informant. They created a scheme to get him to cut the barrel of a shotgun and sell it to them at their request, even though the guy was not involved in the illegal firearm trade. They then fricked up his motive to appear in court. When he “missed his court date” they sent everyone and his brother after him, despite knowing that his attorney could have brought him in or they could
Have safely picked him up when he went to town. They didn’t identify themselves, so when the dogs started barking and his son saw people with guns, he armed himself. Sniper hits he wife and all hell breaks loose.

Someone, somewhere wanted to make an example out of him.
The guy that shot his unarmed wife bragged about it later didn't he?
fricker should be rotting in prison, esp since the govt ended up paying Randy and his surviving kids money.

They murder US citizens with impunity all the time.

There was a good documentary I came across awhile back. Did a good job of explaining it all.

Bo Gritz absolute madman

Because everything we're taught to believe about this government is an absolute lie. Randy Weaver wanted to be left the hell alone in the Idaho wilderness. There is absolutely nothing more "American" than that. And yet, because he refused to submit to the leviathan that is the United States government, his family was slaughtered. Nothing says "land of the free" like government agents shooting a child in the back and a woman while she's holding a baby.

He was not a truly threatening individual but was fringe enough that the government felt like they could easily make an example out of him

That’s the point I realized the us Government and all agencies are pure evil.
