I think we will be okay without Howard, but seems weird that he and his dad were outspoken about wanting a redshirt before the season started and now upset he has to be scout team again.

Yes

Also, to add both Walker Howard and Jack Bech are baby back bitches scared of competition. Good riddance

The portal should not be an option until their junior year.

Really? - I remember this about Nuss's dad and Coach O but don't remember anything about Howard's dad.

Why are some of you so petty and vindictive?

I think more regulations should be in place to make it better for schools and players but I don't like the idea of just taking away their redshirt.

Would that mean we wouldn’t have gotten 2019 Burrow?

ok, but using that rule, Joe Burrow would've exhausted his eligibility after the 2018 season.

2019 would've never happened under your rule.

this is stupid, but I do think we need to return to having to sit 1-year after transferring, except for a grad transfer.

The "immediately play" transfer rule (in combo with NIL) is destroying the game, right in front of our eyes.

Return to a 1-year waiting period after transfer, and things will quiet down substantially.

So the NCAA changes the transfer rule to benefit the student athlete and you want to propose a vindictive way to penalize them for exercising their right to take advantage of that rule?

Good lord there are some insufferable counts on this board.

The welfare of the player is more important than how much you enjoy watching them play on saturdays.

Go back to implementing the 1 year sitting out after a transfer. I mean how long before kids are in the portal as new signee's before fall season starts. I know being sarcastic but...

They should've taken a year of eligibility but did away with the sit out (which they did) when they first started these rule changes. Assuming they didn't drop to a lower class.

It wouldn't impact most players who aren't going to play 4 anyway, but would've impacted the receiving teams as some form of consequence.

I’m not opposed to that rule. I actually kind of like it.

Or maybe just

You can transfer and play automatically but you lose a year of eligibility regardless if it’s redshirt or not unless it’s as a graduate transfer.

After a second transfer, players should have to sit a year before returning to P5 roster.

They should lose a season or not be allowed to enter the upcoming NFL draft when they quit/opt out in a season, EVEN THE BOWL GAMES... Take that you quitters!

These baws were not quitting their teams and bowl games in the 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's, and 2010 to about 2018-2019 when all these softies started opting out. So, why is it OK in 2018 till now? The schools gave them their platform to shine and get noticed to get drafted, so they jump ship for these players, the school and the fans... Can't play 1 more game?
