Do you think Howard is a "championship QB" in 2023?

The way people talked about him he could have been

Did you watch him against Purdue?

When was the last time a "championship QB" looked that lost in his prior year's bowl game?

Not shitting on the kid. He may one day get to that level, but in 2023? No. He likely doesn't believe he's on that level next year.

He's worried about 2024 and 2025 (when Nuss is likely to start). Then he'll just have 1 more year left

If Daniels, left, it would be the SAME situation. Sit behind Nuss for 3 years, then get 1 year. THAT is the issue.

Only LSU could have 3 big time QB prospects in two years, Howard, Holstein and Manning, and whiff on all 3.

they wiffed on none...Howard committed and signed with LSU...Holstein and Manning were NEVER an option...under no circumstances they were coming to LSU...

Holstein would have considered LSU if we didn't have Howard

Yes because Howard still wouldn’t be starting. It’s obvious the Howard family thought he’d go anywhere he wanted, redshirt, and then be handed the reigns.

Was not going to beat out JD and Nuss and then you have Ricki Collins and Colin Hurly coming in in '23 and '24...

You can’t take high volume over efficiency and effectiveness especially when we play 4-5 more games in some cases now compared to in the past when Bowl games weren’t even counted. But that’s what the JD pumpers do.

Better than 0% chance Holstein ends up at LSU anyway

Nuss is the variable that matters
Howard is leaving because he doesn’t think he can beat out Nuss in a year and a half from now?

but we did, and why he was never going to consider coming here when he couldn't even beat him out in high school and transferred in order to play...

Don't sweat it! Coach BK will bring in a 4/5 rated QB in next team's recruiting class or transfer portal.

My guess is Nussmeier told him he's going to stay here, so Howard left.

As stated above, he's clearly a transfer candidate now that Walker is gone

You don’t get it, this thread was created to deflect and redirect any blame that might come JDs way to put it on Nuss. It’s as plain as day and spelled out in the OP. That’s how insecure and cultish these people are.

So Howard is not good enough to beat out Nuss?
