Well he's on his way to six years in college and still doesn't have a degree.
That can’t be true Pretty sure he would be ineligible at some point due to not having enough hours progressed towards his degree

40 percent of required coursework for a degree must be complete by the end of the second year, 60 percent by the end of the third year and 80 percent by the end of their fourth year.

I just don’t get how he is eligible then. You have to have 80% at the end of your 4th year. No way he had that and still hasn’t graduated

Then Uga did some frickery

Do you have to ever graduate? 80% is easy. It’s the last 20% that usually takes a little effort. Let’s be honest this guy clearly isn’t a genius.

I missed the cutoff by a matter of a few days and was the oldest student in my class that had not been held back.

There was a guy a few years behind me that got his driver's license in the 8th grade. They wouldn't let him park on campus; so, he parked across the street.

Why are you so worried about him?

You have to take full 12 hour semesters until you graduate that all count towards your degree. You can’t take partial semesters until you graduate

So if he had 80% after his 4th year, he would have to be taking 12 hours every semester towards his degree. So it’s impossible for him not to graduate in that 5th year unless they were fudging something

Didn't he go to a Jr. College in Mississippi his 2nd year? If so, that's not going to count at all in degree progress or eligibility. Also, most of those courses probably weren't transferrable.

For him to be eligible at Uga when he transferred, he would still have to meet the percent towards a degree requirements

I changed majors and they were very careful to make sure I still had percent towards my new degree to remain eligible. I’m guessing this is some kinda covid waiver frickery

Y'all. We forgot about the Covid year. Everyone in NCAA sports was granted an extra year of eligibility.

I’m not sure all the rules but you just have to work toward a degree. You could take 9 hours of PE and get As and fail your one Econ 4000 and still maintain a gpa to play?

He missed the cut off. Born at the very end of October 1997.

On a normal schedule he graduates at 18 in May 2016

He must have been held back one year and graduated at 19 in May 2017

It's still strange. Most kids that are held back are spring/summer birthdays, not fall. He still would've been on the older end of his normal graduating class.

He hasn’t graduated yet. It’s fair to say, he’s probably not very smart.

Spring? Wouldn't it typically be late Summer/early Fall kids? For instance, if you're born in August, you are either going to be one of the youngest in one class or one of the oldest in the other class. The class cutoff is typically in September, I believe.
