I have never been to Ruston in my life and although I like a good brisket sandwich, friendly customer service, clean bathrooms and a bag of Bucee Beaver Nuggets as much as the next road trip baw I just don't see me stopping in this one.

I drive that way once a month and while I’ll appreciate my #1 place for going #2, I’m not thrilled about how it will frick up traffic on 20.

They need to stay north of I-10 unless they plan on selling boudin and cracklings.

I never thought I would live to see grown men excited about 60 urinals to piss in. I piss outside behind the building when I can.

Some of y’all are way too triggered about a gas station coming to Ruston.

It gonna get shut down and they'll be slinging out Hunt Brothers Pizza, Subway and Scratch Offs in less than 10 years.

shite they may renovate it into a fricking Baptist Church like South Park Mall.

Good for that area, the placement makes perfect sense off 20 between the Terrell and the Leeds, AL location. The economic impact of Buc-ee's on an area is well into the 9 figures annually, not to mention the area around them quickly being bought up for expansion for additional shopping and dining options. It's good to see Ronny continuing his positive impact on the area since he took office, between that and the expansion and development on LTU's campus, Ruston is quickly becoming an economic driver much needed with some of the flight and loss of jobs sustained in SBC and Monroe over the past decade.

It's just a gas station, but the economic impact that it gives is much needed in that part of the state with much of the economic news in that area from pulp wood prices to "Lumen" consolidations being negative recently.

Is Gap Farms Travel Center for sale yet?

Buccee's will kill every gas station between Haughton and West Monroe.

Costco will be building a facility in the Ruston area.

If you think about it, Ruston is the last stand for Louisiana. As Ruston goes, so will Louisiana. The amount of wealth in the Lincoln Parish and surrounding area is simply staggering.

That area has more multi millionaires per capita than any other part of the state. This holds true pre and post Haynesville Shale.

All that said, it is the perfect spot on I20 for travelers to Dallas and back east to Jackson. The town happens to be in the right place geographically for a Buccees.

Lair that with a pro business mayor that does not have the political red tape that other cities have to deal with and it is a win for all.

Never been to N. LA or Buccees. Explain like I'm five:

Will it be in the actual city limits of Ruston?

How close will it be to Grambling? Will it be on the Grambling side?

A Buc-ees in Louisiana diminishes the brand.

I'm not sure what's more disturbing. The mania of it coming to Ruston or the fact that it is coming to Ruston.
