What's the expected wholesale live price per pound?

Likely double last year due to inflation. Crawfish people were inflating crawfish prices even before inflation though.

Well let’s see, the following will certainly impact crawfish prices:

1) it was below freezing for 3 days, then
2) it was hot for a couple days, then
3) it was too dry for a couple weeks, and soon
4) it’ll be too rainy for a couple weeks

Outcome: $3.50/lb

Go ahead and buy that $10 a pound crawfish so they’ll never drop the price.

and they still sold out bc people were willing to pay. It’s simple supply and demand.

Moon shined at the wrong angle, prices high

Don't forget that the wind blew from all directions over the winter, so that's going to be a surcharge

Yep

People want crawfish. They bitch about the price but still buy them.

What’s the point of crawfish if shrimp per pound is similar or cheaper and have more meat?

But you can’t suck the heads on the shrimp like you can on the crawfish.

Why not trap and catch your own to avoid being "gouged"?
