ESPN really needs to go to another feed. Highlights or something from yesterday. We don't need to keep seeing them trying to fill air time when they have no info.

NFL probably has some kind of stipulation that prevents networks from dumping out of a game until they give the ok but didn't anticipate a player potentially dying on the field when they made it.

Commotio cordis possibly?

Of course I have never seen it in person this looked exactly what I always imagined that to look like.

I've seen the opposite. My wife's uncle was driving here in Metairie and his heart stopped. He crashed into a house luckily and the airbag reset him somehow.

The game was played to its conclusion in front of a now-stunned silent crowd in Tiger Stadium, with the Bears' lead holding. The Lions awaited word of Hughes' condition after the game and the players were informed once word had broken that he was dead.

This game has playoff implications so it has to be played.

Not tonight it doesn't.

One of the guys on ESPN had it right, everyone is concerned about Damar and that includes the players on both teams. This game needs to be postponed until some other time and ESPN needs to air something else tonight.

You don't understand money laundering or the elite club that is NFL franchise ownership.

I agree with your sentiment, however. I hope he makes a full recovery. That looked scary. Prayers to him and his family.

Chuck Hughes for the Lions keeled over and died on the field during a game against the Bears. He was 28.

It’s possible but hasn’t happened in modern day football soooo.

A soccer player died from a ball hitting him in the chest just a week or so ago but yeah, two 200lb+ dudes hitting each other full force? That's silly talk.

Both coaches spoke to someone (Goodell?) on a cell phone in the hallway and Bills players are starting to come out of the locker room but not head to the field.

Both coaches hugged after the cell phone call.

Bills and Bengals players exchanging handshakes and hugs.

I am told that Damar Hamlin has been intubated and is currently listed in critical condition.

The shoulder pad did. Right in the middle of the chest.

Maybe, it was a violent hit. The helmet didn’t hit his chest though

They’re just letting the fans in the stadium just wait, when they know it’s over.
