Players union and NFL have to work that out. Neither the Bengals or the Bills GAF about the seeds ATM.

But this decision is long lasting, not just an in the moment one.

Suspending the game is fine, but any final decision is going to be monumental.

If they want to wipe this game and pretend it didn’t happen, they forgot play by play and team stats.

ESPN has a policy where if one of their insiders can’t also report it they won’t do so. At least that’s what I’ve heard.

So until some one like Schefter can be the one “reporting it” ESPN won’t

Took ESPN forever to report Kobe's death.

I mean, it’s sort of makes sense that THEY need to verify things before saying them especially in this situation

Have they ever in the history of the nfl had a team cancel a game

Not sure. Maybe during the wars? But i doubt that would be relevant

I get that no one wants to say it right now, but this game is massively important to the rest of the AFC as well as player contract incentives.

No one is saying it but in these situations after the initial concern the next thought process is how does this affect other things. Anyone who says they don’t do this is just trying to be overly righteous.

Right, but they would be equal, so kc would get homefield if they win next week.

it is what it is... again, i'm sure the Bills don't give a flying frick if that happens, and would GIVE the bye and homefield advantage away just to have their teammate live through this

Game should be called a 7-3 Bengals victory.

This is such a dumb strawman either or situation that doesn’t exist

You know what they bills would rather? Have their teammate live and they get their homefield and bye

This reminds me of the Ryan Newman NASCAR Situation when he had his accident. Everyone was thinking he would pass away, then like 2 days later he walked out of the hospital. I’m hoping and praying the outcomes will be similar!! Prayers!!
