I set it up in the most aggressive deal back in the day. I know NOTHING about 401k/stock market. Had to file disability in 2015 so def can't afford to put more in. Never thought about my 401k til last year, started getting statements again. Last I checked it was down 80sum thousand

How much did your 401K/IRA lose this year?
since i am years before "cashing it out" the drop in "value" is allowing me to by more shares with my 401k/roth 401k contributions
so when the market comes back up the "loss" i see year over year will actually be a net gain

YE 2022 down just over 2% with 60%+ equity allocation, income generation is up multiples over prior few years, not a bad year for someone who has been early retired 12 years.
