It is SF's pick, that Miami had from some prior trade. They gave it to Denver in exchange for Bradley Chubb.

Surtain is arguably a top 3 corner in the league. They have other nice players on defense as well.

I’m sure they could put together a package that we would like at the end of the day.

How many teams that can contend next year need a head coach ya think? Payton is going to have to work for it a little bit…

Why would we think that Loomis is getting any value in that “trade”?
The guy always get punked by other teams. He is a bean counter that manipulates the cap. Nothing more.

So some idiot reporter claims that "sources" say that he's putting together a new staff and it's suddenly gospel truth?

Top coaching assistants in good franchises with great pay are flirting with an unemployed coach?

C'mon. It ain't happening until Payton has a job. Quit falling for BS headlines designed to sell ad space during the slow Christmas break news cycle.

Payton is going to Houston.

They have two first rounders this year, currently #1 and #11 (from Cleveland). They’ll trade us the #11 for Sean and use their #1 to take Bryce Young. Payton will then have his franchise QB.

Also, I’m laughing at some of y’all’s delusions. No team is giving us a Top 5 pick for CSP.

Ironically, teams with a top 5 pick are generally the exact type of teams looking for a new head coach.

And I think you're wrong.

If a team sucks and they're trading their top 5 pick for Sean, why would Sean want to go there?

That is as sensible a construct as I have seen. Though I am not sure if it is what CSP wants, it may be as good as he can get this year.

As another poster pointed out, I think it is more of no team that CSP would be interested in is willing to do that.

Kyler won’t even be able to play until October, if Arizona is smart they take the next season to step back. It would also allow Kliff to keep his job a little longer which he will obviously be pushing for

Murray is the kind of QB Payton has mentioned before as the future of the game. I could see him falling in love with his talent, plus that seems like a great area to live.

That’s a win for us as they’re picking high.
