You have to think if he is a day 2 pick he's leaving right?
If he goes above 5th rd he should go

What rumor of Walker???

Ahead of Hendon Hooker? Interesting.
Not being a hater, I think he is over rated and won't be very good in the NFL.
He misses a lot of easy throws and a lot of the big plays for Tenn this year were coverage busts. He's also like 24 already.

It's just a rumor so remember that but possibly looking around if Jayden came back. Because you would think though it would be an open competition he would be penciled in as the starter.

He is gone then. Round 2 or 3 pick. Now we know why Boutte is staying Nuss with the missile arm is going to be QB1. WR's are excited about the future next year.

He needs to go Pro then

I don't see his draft stock going up too much by staying one more year. It may even go down or he may get injured.
I'm sure he will make an informed decision.

Probably thinks he will be utilized like Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts.

Has Kipper's draft boards rankings ever been accurate?
Well he had Josh Allen as the number 1 QB in the loaded class of ‘18 when no one else did. Everyone poo pooped Allen’s bad college stats against weak competition but Kiper saw the potential. It’s almost like he’s been doing this for 40 years or something….

Must be a really down year for QBs. No way JD makes it as a QB in the NFL. Can’t imagine wasting a draft pick on him.
Neither will around 7 or 8 others on that list. That’s just the facts about NFL QBs. Very few actually “make it” as meaningful NFL QBs.

From a physical standpoint you like what Daniels brings to the table. That's a big reason why he was rated so highly coming out of HS. He has good height (6'3"). Particularly for a "running" QB (Lamar Jackson is 6'2"). He has good arm strength and is probably more mechanically sound throwing the ball than Jackson. He's also a very good runner with great feel for defenders once he escapes the pocket. All of those are traits coaches can't "teach". That's a big reason guys with less production go higher than those with more production. Otherwise, guys like Jim Druckenmiller and Jake Plummer wouldn't get drafted ahead of Heisman Trophy winning Danny Wuerffel. NFL coaches can't "teach" a guy to be 6'3", with a good arm and great running ability. But they do think they can teach that guy to be a great QB.
Daniels' issues seem to be with decision making and anticipation. There is always a bit of hesitancy to let the ball go unless he's certain the guy is wide open. Guys being wide open just isn't going to happen all that often. Especially at the NFL level. You have to trust what you are seeing before the snap, and make split second decisions after the snap to know when to let the ball go...even if the guy is not technically wide open when you make that decision. It's not easy. Otherwise, anyone could be a great QB.
The choice for Daniels is to enter the NFL draft. Likely be drafted in the middle rounds. And hope to find a spot where he can develop into a guy who can start. Or, he can come back to LSU. Play another year in the same offense, with the same OC, and largely the same players, and hope that familiarity will help him have a better year to raise his draft stock.

I've watched TCU play several times this year and always came away relatively impressed with Max Duggan. I wonder why he rarely gets any love

Agreed. His passing numbers are basically the exact same over 4 years of starting at 2 different programs.
The only thing he did better at this year was rushing yards and rushing touchdowns, but his yards per carry was down to about 4.7 ypc.
I don't see how one more year changes anything for him.
This isn't a Joe Burrow situation where he's in his first year of starting.

I see. Welll if we lose Howard because BK goes with Daniels that will be my first legitimate “what the actual frick are you doing?!?” With coach BK. If we lose both Nuss and Howard over Daniels the fan base will go ape shite over this. BK ain’t ready for all that

Everything you said is spot on
There’s a reason no Mike Leach or June Jones QB did anything.

Could be measurables. I don’t know what his are, just saying that could be a factor.
