Oh there were 20 something vehicles from every agency out there since before lunch. Over a drowned junkie

Meanwhile we have a thread about a carjacking and probably can’t even get someone to show up for that

dude, they might have to write a report or take a statement if they go to that call. No paperwork involved if you're just staring at the River. Next thing you know, its quittin' time.

If you drowned in a river is it still considered Davy Jones locker? Or is that strictly for ocean going corpses?

Heard he got moved. I'm not sure to where. I don't think it was on the way to Alaska though. And not jail.

and there might be running or possibly fighting involved. with this call a bunch can stand around eating donuts while a couple of guys swim around in the river.

I think it would depend on whether or not he was a pirate.

Turned on my vhf radio after the wafb alert went out. Been listening to the ship/tug chatter. One ole Baw was pissed bc a brpd officer just jumped on his tow and started walking around on the barge. According to them that a homeland security incident and he is supposed to report it. But, we all know brpd don’t follow no rules.

They should just clear out the whole damn camp and run them out of town.

by the time its over i expect them to find out another bum killed him and just threw the body in the river. because i have a hard time believing anyone in that camp GAF enough to be concerned and call someone over a drowning

I mean…I get it.

A nice drowning must break up the monotony of the constant stabbing and shootings and carjackings and thefts.

Plus you get to use all the cool gear. Oh I bet they had at least a dozen boats out. And such a lovely day for it too!

Anyone remember the brilliant physicist who decided to blow up an inflatable swimming pool and fish out of it for catfish in the Miss River several years back. Coast guard had to rescue him when he drifted into the middle of the shipping lane with the River at 29 ft.

It was a fantastic thread on the OT.

My BIL was on the dive team for a federal LE agency and worked the TWA 800 crash. It gave him a raging case of PTSD.

it may be a homeless man who went for a swim in the river, but then started treading water.

A homeless man, who probably isn't in the best health as most homeless aren't, went "swimming" in the Mississippi in December?

Something doesn't add up.

I get your point but a good swimmer could easily survive the current...the water temp would be the worst of it. Fow a good swimmer.
