Kiran

Baton Rouge Police and divers are currently searching for a drowning victim in the Mississippi River.

The call came around around 12:30pm for a man who started struggling in the water after he was swimming in the river. As of now, sources tell Unfiltered with Kiran it may be a homeless man who went for a swim in the river, but then started treading water.

He’ll bubble up around Plaquemine or Addis. Unless he’s snagged on something

Seems like we've had threads here discussing whether or not people actually swim in the river.

Who goes swimming in the Mississippi River in south Louisiana?

Not only can you not see underwater obstacles, you have a strong current, under toe, and heavy barge/ship traffic.

Checks out, there's a decent sized homeless camp right there in the trees along the bank. Noticed it a month or two ago when I went to go look at the shipwreck.

yep, i dont even know why they even bother with shite like this. death is 100% certain, so just wait a few days and they will float up along the bank somewhere. why waste tens of thousands of dollars for no reason.

How much do you think is being wasted looking for a dead homeless guy who is likely miles down the river by now?

They should just clear out the whole damn camp and run them out of town. They can go join Ramon’s train

The divers are probably like "hey we finally get to use this diving gear for something". Then, " great! it's in the fricking dirty arse river".
