How does knocking out the power grid for everyone, protest a drag show? Makes no sense, but people are idiots, and I suppose it could be true.

Ft Bragg is also huge.. my parents house in Southern Pines is a stones throw to training areas for Delta/Special Ops. I grew up playing in our street with the sound of automatic gun fire, A-10s dropping ammunition, and helicopters shaking the walls

Wait, what? You serious Clark? Is that really the suspected motive behind this?

Thats what the local rumor mill is saying. They been fired up about this down there for a couple weeks so it lines up. Drag show started at the same time the power went out. Moore Co is highly conservative

We own property about 35 minutes from Southern Pines, 45 minutes from Ft. Bragg. Probably building a house this upcoming year and heading back to Carolina.

The best way to get normal people to buck your weirdo bull shite is to keep forcing your stupid shite onto them. Not saying that vandalizing the grid is warranted (it's not), but if you keep backing people into a corner, eventually they are gonna react.

Yea i get it.. Not sure why they picked Moore Co for this when they are welcomed with open arms in Wake Co

That being said, I’m pretty sure this was advertised as an adult event. I dont really give a shite what other adults do.

Most people have no idea of the truthfulness in this statement. If they understood how vulnerable our infrastructure is they would be more than a little worried.

Most people are only worried about stupid shite. Tell them their social media is going to disappear and I promise, people would literally commit suicide.

Safe to assume, a lot of people here saw how fast things can go to complete shite when Katrina happened. I know I did, and I was in Jackson.

Lynn Goldhammer, a Southern Pines resident, showed up to protest the Sunrise Theater allowing the show.

"This isn't like the drag shows of yesteryear, where a man would dress up like Cher and belt out 'Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves,’” Goldhammer said. “It's nothing about a man impersonating a woman. It’s extreme body — fake body parts — jumping and bumping and grinding and twerking.”

Seems like Lynn liked the old fashioned drag shows, but these modern ones just take it too far with all the twerking.

A silenced 22LR or high power pellet gun can probably wreck havoc on a sub station.

People might think I’m stupid for assuming these substations could have been shot. I wasn’t making shite up, it’s happened before in case you weren’t aware.

The point was he’s making it seem like the location is significant. It’s not. People went after subs for the copper. Fort Brag being an hour away means nothing.

Seems a little more than that, quote from the local paper below.

“Whoever attacked the power stations was familiar with the the power company and how the stations were all connected to each other.”

Talking about the power being out for days.. press conference at 4. It’s one thing if there’s a storm coming and people are prepared, but this came out of the blue.
