Looking forward to retiring JT this week

He’s not going to retire when he only needs 9 wins to overtake John McKissick for all time wins.

St Martin's QB is Mannino, and his grandpa is Sal.

And, you are Sal Minio.

Interesting.

I was telling my step-dad the other day about the days when you could find Memorial Stadium at relative capacity (accept for the closed end of the horseshoe IIRC).

I've told this story here before, but I recall a game when I was a kid in 1980 between Tara and Broadmoor. Both teams were 9-0 and Memorial Stadium was absolutely packed, horseshoe and all. Attendance was over 20,000. 9-year old me thought it was the most awesome thing ever. It was the year after Billy Cannon, Jr graduated, but Broadmoor still kicked Tara's arse that night. Final was like 42-27, but it wasn't that close.

They don’t have a chance to go charter like in Orleans Parish?
not unless they are failing below a certain scale, such as what happened at Capitol(which is now back in EBR system) Orleans parish schools were gifted the opportunity after Katrina. It's just amazing what charters can do with less money - i wonder what the problem is..... i know what it is and it's systemic.

I noticed last week that some of you were lightning fast with score updates.

Where do ya'll get the best updates? Aside from being at the game...

Nola.com has live scores

If you are interested in a specific game, check out the schools social media. Their athletic Twitter or instagrams feeds usually give score updates.

Gonna be out at Lutcher @ WF. Hoping for a win for the Saints and for Zachary. Here for the WM and Ponchatoula melts if Zachary wins.

Oak Grove and Mangham are both really good. Haynesville is probably the weakest team of the four. It’s going to be an uphill battle for them against Oak Grove.

Can you stream any of these games?

Dunham you can watch online. I was at the game last week and when the lights went out...I went home and watched the rest online. The stadium is at the back of my neighborhood.

I will be there tonight if it doesn't rain.
