Is Dunhams HC the old Catholic HC? The last name looked very familiar. If not same guy, is he related to the old long time Catholic HC?

He's the son of the old Catholic coach.

There's a reason why Mahaffey left after there was a clean sweep of the administration

Dunham outplays CHS in the jamboree

That’s one way to spin a loss in half a game.

And lost to pbs, never mistake what happens in a jamboree for real football

Dunham had half of their starters out for the Parkview game due to the flu. They probably win easily if they were at full strength.

Well, they still have a ton of great players and are poised to win their second title in a row. I would argue that they are as powerful a program as ever with the exception of that 2018 group which was just special.

The whole recruiting thing is so overblown. EBR schools are simply bad schools academically and athletically so parents run elsewhere.

A healthy Dunham beats Parkview by four touchdowns.

That’s what I was told by a parent of a CHS starter. The parent said Dunham looked like the better team and he was very impressed. Didn’t realize how good they were for such a small school.

Dunham’s offensive and defensive lines were pushing Catholic around. Then Shelton Sampson went Shelton Sampson. He’s impressive.

Ruston and Zachary are going to have a heavyweight fight Friday night. Should be a good one.

It really is a shame that once proud programs like Tara, Broadmoor, Glen Oaks, Capitol, and Belaire are all absolute garbage now with ZERO chance of ever being competitive.

McKinley has risen to the level where they are at least heads and shoulders above the schools I listed above, but they can't really go much higher. They got an 11-seed in the playoffs, but were blasted 42-0 by 22-seed Alexandria, who in turn was crushed the next week 49-10 by Byrd. It really is sad.

Yes, And southern lab, but that always happened. What is relatively new is these magnets/charters pulling from anywhere in the parish.

NS D1 - Zachary vs. Destrehan
NS DII - North DeSoto vs. West Feliciana
NS DIII - St. James vs. Amite
NS DIV - Oak Grove vs. Mangham

S DI - Carencro vs. Catholic
S DII - STM vs. LCA
S DIII - U High vs. St. Charles
S DIV - Vermilion Catholic vs. OCS

No matter who wins the semifinal games in NS DIII and S DII, those Dome matchups will be awesome.

I was telling my step-dad the other day about the days when you could find Memorial Stadium at relative capacity (accept for the closed end of the horseshoe IIRC).

I always reference the time we (CHS) played Baker when they had Jerald Sowell. Maybe it was my youth, but it seemed like the stadium was absolutely packed.

They don’t have a chance to go charter like in Orleans Parish?
