Absolutely fantastic movie that set up the sequel perfectly…

What the hell happened with the sequel?

Why doesn’t Hollywood enjoy success?

Good movie, but the book that it is “based” on really needs to be an HBO miniseries to do it real justice.

Just make some girl the key to everything , there’s your movie.

Preferably an intersectional WOC

Because China. Studio's pretty much wont make a movie, unless it's a woke black film, unless China says it's ok.

I don't know if any movie that takes an absolute shite on the source material could be considered "fantastic"

What could they do in a sequel? They have the means to make everyone immune and by the end of the movie they were rounding up zombies in stadiums and blowing them up.

The red haired wife is one of the least attractive people I’ve ever seen

Love the Israel scene with the wall and the choppers

final act felt like reshoots and I didn’t care for that part

Did it really set up a sequel? It ends by showing how the world learns to fight the zombies and beat them. What would the sequel be, just killing them using the methods you already found works?

I hate invoking the book here but I have to.

I can't think of a book set up more perfect for a mini-series than this one.

Also the book is a work of art that takes the subject matter very seriously. It's this seriousness that makes it so compelling. This isn't the walking dead or some other shite like that.

Each chapter is told from the perspective of a survivor or major player in dealing with the outbreak or what they called the "great panic".

It's truly an amazing book that's totally free of anything silly or ridiculous.

BOOK SPOILERS!!!!!

Some of the individual stories that come to mind include the great castles of Europe and how they were once again utilized.

Another story spoke to the extinction or near extinction of certain animals, such as tortoises.

The illegal organ trade played a big part in the spread of the disease.

The space station survivor who watched things sorta unfold from orbit was fascinating.

Pharmaceutical companies and their bullshite attempt to create a vaccine for what they referred to as "human rabies" is a good read.

The "Rudiker plan" was put in place to prevent human extinction. This was originally a pre-pandemic plan to save the white South African minority in the event of a racial uprising. They ended up using it to save South Africa from the hordes. Every nation on Earth adopted it.

I could go on. Terrific book.

it was turned into real life by calling it covid and they couldnt make a movie admitting their lies about covid
that, and it was the 1576th movie about zombie apocalypse so its been way over done and would only do well as made for TV movie, not in theaters
