Now that the Egg Bowl is over, do you agree with my ranking of LSU’s SEC wins this season?

1. Bama
2. @ Arkansas
3. @ Florida
4. Ole Miss
5. Mississippi State
6. @ Auburn

I actually think @ Arkansas is pretty easily the 2nd best win all things considered.

We broke Ole Miss. They never recovered after the loss to us.

I disagree if you’re ranking the importance of the wins. If you’re ranking those teams then sure it’s close enough

Ole Miss was 8-3 and ranked #20 in the playoff poll. MSU was 7-4. Both are now 8-4. It will be interesting to watch the rankings Tuesday night and see if both are in the top 25.

Whether either MSU or Ole Miss are ranked or not, if we win the SEC, we have at least 2 of the most impressive wins, if not the 2 most impressive for teams on the playoff bubble. And that’s purely based on the last rankings….

We’d have Bama and UGA
USC could have Notre Dame and Oregon
Michigan would have Penn State
TCU (assuming they lose a game) would have… Texas?

I get the reasoning behind it, but it’s hard for me to consider a game against a team’s 2nd and 3rd string quarterbacks our 2nd best win.

I think I'd rank it:

1) Bama
2) Ole Miss
3) Arky
4) MSU
5) UF
6) Auburn

I think Ole Miss was a much more impressive win considering where we both were at the time. I could live with Arky and MSU being reversed; MSU was a strong win considering where we were as a team at that point, and Daniels had the flu at Arky in the ice.

All that said, I won't disagree with your original ranking if you're looking at where the teams are today.

You forgot one. I'll fix it for you:

1) Bama (and there’s not a close second)
2) MSU
3) Ole Miss
4) Arky
5) UF
6) Auburn
7) Texas A&M

No, and that’s what Bama fans say.

The truth is that Ole Miss had all the tough games at the back end of the season.

This

ETA: Changed my mind - their schedule sucked before us (see one of the above). That being said, if they had beaten us, they might have beaten Bama.
