Can Trump win in 2024?

The sad reality we Trump supporters need to accept:

“ So, what happened? A pair of numbers leaps out of the exit polling: 32 percent of voters said that they cast their House vote to “oppose” President Joe Biden, while 28 percent said they cast their House vote to “oppose” former President Donald Trump. In other words, for every eight votes cast against Biden, all but one was negated by a vote cast against Trump. ”

City Journal

Sadly, the unrelenting negative press for Trump will make it extremely difficult to overcome the anti-Trump vote. Trump wasn’t even on the ballot and people still voted against him (or his perceived candidates in actuality).

It was impossible for him to win in 2016,

and it is still impossible now.

If 75 million vote for him again and the elections are monitored for fraud.

Trump, then DeSantis.

Trump is up next. When he decides to retire, DeSantis is up.

Can they win? Who cares. You do the right thing and keep doing it, no matter the ultimate cost. Don't quit.

He can not win again. 2016 was lightning in a bottle.

Absolutely no chance. He just will not win the purple states necessary (or steal any blue states).

No, they’ll never let him win and they're just using the Desantis situation to get rid of Trump and the America first agenda.

They either think they can control Desantis or destroy him in the primary and slip in one of their picks.

I don’t think many people understate gravity of the situation we’re in as a country.

Trump's problem is that there is an ever growing group of registered Republicans who refuse to vote for him. He's become such a polarizing figure it's hard to see enough people to support him and win. A Republican can't win if 20% of the party hates them.

His slim chance is to have an opponent who's as hated and polarizing as him (i.e. Hillary Clinton).

Unless Biden is so clearly impaired that he scares off independents more than they hate Trump, or the Dems nominate Kamala Harris, it's just hard to see how Trump can get enough votes to win.

Yes.

If Trump can't win, no one can win, at least not with the information we currently have available. In hindsight I more strongly suspect 0bama stole 2012, but Trump won the most votes ever in 2020, and the most EC votes in 2016 (2020 being indeterminable) since 1988.

Running a "traditional" candidate hasn't worked but twice in ~30 years, and once was the 2000 election that election deniers claimed was stolen by a couple hundred votes.

Do you sign up for something expecting to lose? I’m in it to win it. If trump didn’t think he would win, I doubt he’d be doing it.

I still don’t believe Biden won 2020

Whether he can or not, just yesterday Joe Biden became the first US President to turn 80 while in office. Trump would be the second if he won in 2024.

That’s too fricking old for any Federal elected official. Get McConnell, Pelosi, Sanders, etc out of there too.

He will win if elections are fair, if not he will lose same shite as midterms. In the states that the left felt like they didn’t need to cheat the republicans did well and the states that addressed election ballot harvesting republicans did well. Fix elections and you will fix this country

No, and I'm voting for him anyway.

In 2016, he had no chance either. Same thing in 2020 and he won then too, though not on paper.

People are tired of his schtick. Evangelical preachers and their flocks are nowhere near as enthusiastic about him now as they were in 2020.

They see Trump as all about Trump and the aggrandizement of Trump, with fealty to Trump first and foremost.

It’s a difficult proposition made more difficult by his age and the fact that he did not win in 2020.

America loves a winner and they love incumbents.
