If anyone misinterpreted that as Burns insisting his wife cheated they are morons. It was clearly a joke almost on the same level as a your mom joke. Watson looks like a tool for getting his panties twisted over an obvious joke.

Yup.

My God...why are you continuing with this? They were obviously joking with each other. Some of you are so sensitive.

What about his tweet in response that says he’s moved on but Burns owes his wife a public apology?

What about the whole situation leads you to believe it wasn’t a joke?

The initial joke, the cut back to on air and Watson walking on midway, the other guys laughing, then the tweet together after.

It's because of Watson's "I've moved on but he needs to issue a public apology to Mrs. Watson" tweet.

That's why people are thinking he was actually upset.

Yeah. And that may have also been him just playing along and also joking. But it's hard to say one way or another.

I heard the first part and had a "daaaaaaaaamn" moment. Didn't hear the part where they came back.

1. Don't joke about another man's wife to his face on TV. If you are close enough to joke like that in private, keep it there.

2. Don't be a pissy, insecure bitch on-camera. Once you go to break, take the other guy to the side and say you didn't appreciate that remark, even if it was a joke. If he's a good guy he'll apologize on-air the moment they get back from break.

3. Once it's over, it's over. Let it go. Other media types will be trying to prod a bigger confrontation, don't let them. A joke was deemed as being too far, an apology was made and accepted, the end.

Wouldn't be a big deal if a good friend made that joke, but a coworker shouldn't be making those type of jokes.

Dear Lord. Some of you must not have a lot of non internet friends if you’re this sensitive. Head over to Reddit to find your safe space from meanie pants jokes.

It was a joke. Watson wasn't actually offended. How are people not seeing this was all a joke?

I re-read his post after I made mine and misread what he said. But I still didn't miss the mark by much.

My next point remains the same. There's 3 pages here full of people bitching about how offended other people may or may not be. They're just as soft as the people they're complaining about.

I definitely don’t think Watson was joking. He has a later tweet saying he wants a public apology for his wife. Also, don’t joke about another man’s wife. On air. When he’s much bigger than you. Have to be smarter than that.

If so, Watson is a huge bitch lol

This is insane

So you have no problem with someone joking about your wife, particularly in a way that can so easily be misinterpreted as saying she cheats on you? You fine with that happening on national television? I feel sorry for her that you have no problem with it.

Do some of y’all just not have interactions with other people?

Yep, and doing it on broadcast opens up a whole other can of worms. There is a type of person who feels like they know the people they see on TV or hear on the radio and that type will feel like they too are close enough to make those jokes with them, or else think they are simply the type who can take it from anyone.

I don’t know why Doering has not punched him in the face yet. Those 2 guys seem to bicker on set every day.
