Regardless if you like Musk or not, he has not done a good job of transition. Trimming some of the obvious fat is one thing, starting mess with your core tech team without knowing what's up is just plain dumb for a tech company. Most all those IT people with experience can walk to another company with equal salary and benefits.

There it is, that is exactly what Twitter is and was intended to be...

The feds literally had their own portal access to twitter to flag and delete whatever they wanted and they choreographed it with twitter staff.

That's why I die laughing when lefties say this is ending free speech

When all the other Tech companies are laying people off?

I think this is gonna turn out better than you think. You first do a purge so they know you are serious, make them sweat a bit, figure out who actually does shite and who is dead weight, and then let them decide if they prefer woke bullshite or a paycheck

Whether you like Twitter or their policies or not, it’s got to be really shitty to work for a boss who acts like this. Would you want to stop what you were doing, including other peoples work because a bunch of people quit, to write out a resume to your new boss of things you’ve done for the company then have to show up for a pop quiz with everyone. Seriously, I would think any employee worth a damn would leave under those conditions.

The no accountability entitlement is real lol

This is interesting. Has his non compete from selling PayPal expired? probably so.
This would get me on twitter. I would ditch PayPal in a heartbeat.

He actually bought the industries.

So he has experience buying companies and making them ultra successful? That’s a good sign for Twitter.

Two years ago this board said that almost all of his companies succeed because they are propped up by the fed gov’s green energy push.

I find that post funnier than it is. Very good point though.

My employer is still hiring developers. I think most tech companies still are.

It's hard for me to imagine a world where actual good developers can't get a job. We have a really, really hard time finding them, and it's been that way as long as I can remember.

But he said at Tesla Elon is unreal at maximizing efficiency and getting rid of bloat with regards to processes and specific programming tasks and shite. Down to tiny issues with complicated software program stuff. He said Elon is obsessed with completely getting rid of something that is inefficient, rather than keep it.

After listening to this guy, I have to think Musk knows EXACTLY what he’s doing.

ETA: And this genius AI programmer guy seems to think Elon knows WAY more about coding than what is coming out on Twitter from these fired software engineers.
It just seems a lot of people are new to how Elon runs his businesses. This is how he's handled Tesla, and that's been one of the more impressive American company stories.

With Tesla, he's completely open with almost everything, posting most of it on Tesla, ironically. He tries random shite out all the time, again, being open and letting everyone know. Sometimes it works, sometimes it fails spectacularly. People often give suggestions on small updates to make the cars better, and plenty of times he'll reply very simply with something like, "Sure, we'll do that" and a couple of months later in the next software update, that random Twitter person's suggestion has been implemented.

I can't imagine he did not see any of this coming. There's obviously going to be some "growing pains" and maybe it won't work. But I'm fairly confident he has a plan and knows what he's doing and Twitter isn't coming to an end tomorrow.

He also loves being the hero, he's certainly egotistic, no question. But the tweets from a few days ago where he was saying he wasn't sure if Twitter would survive, is that true? Maybe.

But he also did the same exact thing with Tesla, said it in real time and reminds everyone still about Tesla being "days away from bankruptcy" around 5 years ago. Was that true? Maybe. But I have a feeling while things may have looked bleak with Tesla and now Twitter, part of me thinks he likes to portray things much worse than they are, almost time to close up shop, and then do a look at me and how great I am that I took this company from that and built it back up.

You win this corner of the Internet today-

i'd love to see a thunderdome w/ a blue-haired twitter 'engineer' facing off against an engineer from tesla or spacex.

spacex engineer: i wrote code that allowed the first rocket to return to Earth and land on its feet in the history of mankind.

tesla engineer: i wrote code that allowed a car to drive by itself for the first time in the history of mankind

twitter engineer: i wrote code to suppress conservative ideas and rewrite the history of mankind

Dude's gonna figure out how to run Twitter with a couple of hundred engineers, and it will make the rest of Big Tech companies go, "Never thought that was possible", isn't he?

Don't know if he will or won't but I surely would not bet against him. He did something similar with Tesla when virtually everyone mocked an EV company and thought it would never work 8 or so years ago. At first it was "EVs will never work." Then when it did, that quickly shifted to "Wait until the big companies start making EVs, Tesla will be screwed real quick." And now we're seeing the unreal struggles virtually every major auto company is having with trying to break into this space.

B)destroying the company because he’s overreacting to his frick up of buying a shitty overvalued company.

Whatever it is, it is going to be interesting to watch. He definitely brings the dynamic.

Is Musk the one (or one of the ones) that predicted AI taking over things? Maybe he's thrown in with it. The less human coders left, the easier it is for the AI to its thing.

Lol good god people are so mother fricking soft.

If you've ever worked for a wealthy businessman, as in multimillionaire, they tend to be very demanding, and it gets raised go 11 when shite is fricked up.

I remember govt workers whining about donald trump's work demands too, and bitching that he only seemed to sleep for like 4-5 hours.

Unsurprisingly seems like twitter was an ongoing slush fund for talentless shitheads.
