How long does it take to start enjoying it?

Being from Louisiana, it just feels like I've been missing out on some fun.

It does look fun, but also looks tiring as hell...

Don't think my legs could handle many runs, but I'm bad out of shape.

It’s awesome. Not too hard if you stick to the greens.

It’s easy. You’ll pick it up fast

It’s not hard if you’re semi athletic. And it’s super fun! I’ve only been once and regret not going more before We started having kids.

Not hard if you do it the right way and take lessons.

I learned with a half day lesson. You won’t be any good, but you’ll be able to handle green runs and easy blues.

And you are missing out On a Lot of fun. Do it.

Honestly took me maybe two hours of lessons. Tried snowboarding, but it never clicked with me.

depends on the individual, take a lesson or two, most people pick it up pretty quickly

I’m from Louisiana and I’ve broken both of my thumbs snow skiing. It’s pretty easy to learn, then you get too confident and end up in the bar on the bottom of the mountain with something crazy swollen.

Highly dependent on the person, and really the younger you start the easier it is

It took me about 45 minutes to feel comfortable going off on my own, was able to do some blue slopes day 1. Others it can take several days (a whole trip), some can go for years and never get truly comfortable (I call them women)

Also I would suggest shorter skis, easier to control, slower speed, you will be fighting against them less than the longer ones

I mean this is a completely subjective question. Some people can do it in a day and some can never figure it out.

If you are somewhat coordinated you may not be good but will have fun the first day

I found it easy, but if you are old, idk. Old people have harder time getting up after a fall. That’s not something I’d want to learn when things hurt more.

And there is the other skiers. I’ve been completely taken out by out of control skiers.

if youre even remotely athletic you should be able to pick it up on your first day and be able to ski greens and blues.
