Their melt has been one of the worst I’ve witnessed in quite some time.
All directed at LSU

To be fair, if we win out and make the playoffs, and they are left out, then that would suuuuuuuuuuuck for them.
But, oh well.
But, oh well.

If the roles were reversed we would be melting, too.

It would, but that’s the way she blows. They’re in a different division and couldn’t take care of business.
There will be a huge push for another playoff game.

I'll give them that we aren't an "elite" team this year
Unfortunately for them, though, they can't comprehend that LSU is an elite football program that, for the first time since Nick Saban, has an elite coach to go with it.
I mean, think about it. They've had their greatest team in 20+ years, and won't participate in the SEC championship. We have an entire new staff that took over a team with 39 scholarship players in January and punched our ticket to the SEC championship by getting better each and every week.
So, sure, we aren't "elite" this year. But we'll be elite for years to come.

Why the hell would their melt be directed at us? They beat us and controlled their own destiny. It’s their fault they lost to UGA, not ours.

They got too big for their britches really quickly, so I don't feel sorry for them at all.
Are they likely left out regardless of who wins the SECCG? If we win, I assume that there is still a good chance that UGA gets in.

Tennessee blew LSU out.
Literally made LSU their bitch.
In Baton Rouge.
They are the better team.
If we get into the playoffs at 11-2 and they miss out at 11-1, they have every right in the world to be mad at us and hate us.

Why?
Win ur division and win the championship game.
The formula is not that hard.

That is as fair as it ever gets in sports or life.

Not much different from 2001.

They haven't been relevant in the SEC for 20 years...and now think they are the greatest. If LSU beats UGA they will really howl..

Look, man. I'm not one to usually try to boil it down to what-ifs. The games are played and won on Saturday. And Tennessee is a great team this year. I'd say top 10 at the least, probably top 5.
With the qualifiers out of the way, I'll say that Tennessee has caught a TON of break this year. Particularly when it comes to turnovers. I don't see it spoken about enough. That hit on Hooker in the backfield by Brooks almost gave them a first down. All it takes is that ball bouncing at a slightly different angle for it to fall in one of our linebackers hands and him be racing down the sideline for six. It didn't, so that's moot. But my point is that there were 3-4 of those breaks just in our game. They had similar breaks against Bama. Against Georgia, they didn't get those breaks. In fact, Georgia got a lot of the lucky breaks.
My general point is that the Tennessee game was 2-3 plays away from being much closer. I understand why they'd be mad if we got into the playoff, but reasonable eyes that focus on more than just wins and losses will tell you we aren't 27 points away from them if we played again.

So in other words they know how we felt in 2011 after Bama got a do-over and got to sit home and rest before the NCG as a reward for losing to us and not winning their division.
You’re “concerned” about Tennessee fans?
frick Tennessee fans.
I’ll be thrilled if we are (deservedly) in the playoffs at 11-2 after beating Georgia and they are staying home at 11-1.
Tough titty said the kitty.

So the hillbillies are mad at us because a team in their division happens to be a dominant number one in the country....and their season boiled down to playing them head-to-head
Welcome to the last 10 years of being an SEC West member. You want to make it to Atlanta, be the best team in your division. Dear Rocky top, you are not the best team in your division.
I've had to watch Alabama play SEC East teams that LSU had beaten during the regular season (Florida). So suck it up buttercup
